Great little family-run guest house in Regina. Super clean with friendly and accommodating hosts, this B&B in a heritage home just outside downtown is a pleasant surprise. Rooms are fairly small but immaculate and the self-catered breakfast in the kitchen/parlour is a nice option for travellers on the fly. Situated a short walk from the shops and restaurants downtown, Wenxen is not posh (shared bath, but great clawfoot tub and - for those who care, no TV) - but at $65 a night this is a great score at half the price of the chains. I accidentally booked the wrong night but they let me reschedule even though the website I booked on said switching was non-refundable. We’ll be back.

Great find in Regina!

Scam alert!! 一定不要住在这个地方！ This is The most terrible place I have ever stayed anywhere in the world, including Air B&B. It is more like a rooming house since all you get is a room with a hardboard bed and everyone shares one small and dirty bathroom. Kitchen is also not clean. Staff were highly unprofessional. They don't speak English at all. There's also no AC in many of their rooms although they claim they do. Our room did have AC but we had no control over it. The managers turned it off in the middle of the night since i could no longer hear the loud sound, so my night became extremely stuffy and hot. Most importantly, staff just allowed random person to park on their property right behind my car, thus blocking my car. I had to wait for hours before I could start my day. They said there's nothing they can do since random people come to park at their place all the time. Later they told us we can just park anywhere on the street around their house so we won't get blocked again!!! they also claim they have wifi but it barely works. I normally never write reviews but this place is pretty much a scam so I thought I need to warn others.

Terrible place that is not worth the money

Nice and comfy little place. Quite near the Regina casino and there is some really nice bar/pub in less then 15 minutes walk. The family who’ll greet you is just sweet and nice. For that price this is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. 

Really Nice place

Got to the b&b and there was no staff to let me in. Luckily I was meeting friends who checked in a few hours prior and they let me in their room. When they checked in the gentleman that helped them didn't speak any English and gave them the wrong room. It took me 2 1/2 hours to located someone to check in with calling both numbers posted on the fridge.  I changed rooms with my friends and wished we could all get our money back and get a hotel. The shower in their room was out of order and after scrolling back through review history it has been broken since 2015. They had a large room and the main bed had no frame (boxspring on the floor) and the room was dirty and old. The main bathroom was in dire need of upgrading and things were repaired with plumbers putty. We didn't eat any meals there after seeing the kitchen and how things were stored in the fridge.  They had bread, instant coffee/tea and bananas and still no staff to be found. The place was very run down and dirty and the stairs going to the rooms were dangerous at best. The best thing anyone could do is run from this place.

Even with the low cost of rooms at this place, still not worth what they charge. It should be more of a $40/night at the most. With that being said, it is very clean. But you're basically paying for just a bed. No tvs, wifi barely works, and you share a bathroom with everyone. Also very old and creaky and you can hear everything, even when people are walking around downstairs. The owner who greeted me barely speaks any English and didn't understand a thing I asked, and I never seen him again after I checked in and I stayed there for 2 nights. And I would definitely not call it a bed and breakfast. "Breakfast" was eggos and toast and instant coffee. Not even a piece of fruit or anything. I mean, it was doable for the two nights that I stayed there, but I wouldn't go back. Especially because there are way nicer actual bed and breakfasts in the same area for the same price.
