Had a good 2 nights stay here this Summer. Staff were friendly, room was nice and a good size, beds were clean and comfortable, TV and Fridge worked well, and shower was fine. Felt like I got a decent bargain for my money. The place was full for the weekend. 

Great location near Hope Memorial Park, the Blue Moose Café, grocery store, and walking distance to lots of places to eat. I’d stay here again if I was visiting Hope or needed a place to crash for the night.

Air conditioner was old-looking and noisy, but it worked and that’s what matters. 

Sadly the wooden Bear statues in the pictures were no longer out front. 


Thumbs up, would visit again.

Sloppy partial renovations. Some taps not working. Door key did not work without a lot of fiddling. Bathroom ceiling fan missing. New wing may be OK.stairs to second floor not clean.  Front drapes off track. Smoke detector not working. Took 3 phone calls for front desk to check us in.

Substandard quality

This place is a dump and we are pretty easy to please people. The s#$t hole that we paid for prior to looking at it first was by far the most disgusting motel I have ever seen. This suite looked like something you would find on skid row...
.no joke! Couldn't pay me to sit on anything in that suite. The lady moved us to a new renovated room which was obviously much better than what we had, but this room was tiny and no bathtub and no microwave or hairdryer, no iron or ironing board...poor lighting in bathroom, no closet or full length mirror or no phone or TV cable. Good location but would never stay here again nor would  I recommend to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere.

By far the worst motel

Three family members booked this hotel for June 2 to 8, 2023 as we love to stay in this central location. While some construction is taking place there we were away most days visiting family and attending a graduation. The room was mediocre, the bathroom door does not close, the TV did not work and we had to ask for more towels. 
    On the morning of the fourth day they began doing landscaping and paving the parking lot which meant no parking on-site, piles of debris and rocks in front of our suite and incredible noise beginning very early. Our stay there was ruined by this. The owner and front desk insisted they had informed us of this which is not true. Problem is that due to pipeline construction finding another room was not an option.
    All three of us are seniors, I am legally blind so navigating paving equipment, piles of debris and having my sleep interrupted continuously did not make for a good holiday. I will never stay at this hotel again. The service and charm that once was City Centre has been renovated out. So sad.

Quiet family vacation turns to construction nightmare.

I was disappointed to find the room was not clean. There was a fingernail on the sink and the cabinets and kitchen items have not been cleaned in a long time.  In normal times, I would forgive the dirty kitchen. It looks like nobody had used the dishes or appliances in years.  They claim the check in/check out hours are reduced because they are cleaning more due to Covid 19, but our room was definitely not cleaned up to standard.
The furnishings are rustic which didn't bother me. The train goes thru town frequently so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.  It was okay for a one night stay, but there are a lot of motels in Hope so I will look elsewhere next time.

Cheap but not clean

I stayed over in Hope after a 12 hour drive, and stoped at the first motel I found. The price was right (about $80 CAD I think). The clerk was friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was a little springy but still very comfortable. With the COVID crisis I will be driving to Vancouver Island (rather than flying) many more times, and I will make this motel a regular overnight stop. Great value!

Comfortable, clean, affordable. I will stay there again.

This is one of the cheapest motels in Hope and it does show. It is reasonable enough but shows sign of wear. The bed are comfortable enough and the rooms seem clean. The biggest criticism I have is that the refrigerator provided was so noisy that we had to unplug it to get some sleep.

OK but not great

Unless we really got unlucky, I would recommend to check the room before paying. Lovely couple run the motel but I don’t find the reviews accurate. There was a chemical (?) and/or old cigaret smell when we got in the room, no screen in the window... I know it’s a motel and not a hotel but more accurate reviews would be great. 

Overstated reviews

Travelling North we needed somewhere to stay on route. Hope City Centre Motel was the cheapest I could find that met our needs. The Motel was central and provided the facilities we needed. I was not expecting luxury, just somewhere to sleep for the night. I got what I wanted. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room clean and tidy. I could not ask for more, considering the price.

Just right for our needs

Great hotel, good price. Kitchenette well equipped. Open for late check ins— which is really good considering the Park Inn a block away is not. The front desk guy at HCC motel was very nice. Very close to a few lot a electric vehicle charging options! Great coffee shop just a block away.
