This place is now run by Alex, a lovely girl who completely renewed the guesthouse which is now called ‘My Way’.
Me and my boyfriend are traveling from a long time but this is one of that places which can steal a little piece of your heart and once you will get here you will never wish to leave.

Perfectly located directly on the beach of M’Pai Bay, the only village of the island, with hammock and beach chairs, My Way is walking distance from the pier, some nice place to eat, travel kiosks and close to couple of beach bar with music to drink something at night, but at midnight everything stops and from your room you can just listen the sound of the waves. From here you can even walk to other two amazing and wild beaches.
Yes, Saracen Bay is beautiful, but here at M’Pai Bay you can find much more soul.

We extended 3 times our stay changing rooms so we can also say that the beach house rooms are simple but cute and comfortable with super clean shared toilets, just the wooden walls are not closed until the ceiling so you loose a little bit of privacy but for us it worth anyway, but if you wish something more, the beachfront rooms with private bathroom in the ‘main house’ are just awesome!

No longer The Drift, now it’s My Way. Paradise found!

The Drift has closed ! Now this place is called My Way Cambodia. It's run by a French girl, Alex, who transformed this guesthouse in a white and blue piece of happiness. 

The guesthouse is 10 meters from the beach and its clear water. Everything you need for food and tourism is just around the corner. 

The place is equiped with showers and toilets. Everything's clean. The room have a lot of charm (with mosquito nets) and two of them have windows on the sea. Everything's built in wood. 

On the beach, you can find hamacs, seats, and tables. Definitely a place to chill and relax. 

Alex is very accomodating and creative. She has a bar where you can drinks cocktails, hot juices and hot beverages. As the spot is brand new, you can bet there is more to come. Like tapas, as we heard...

About the village, you have to know this : 
There's no wifi in hotels
No ATM
Bars put down the music volume at midnight
You've to bring some sun cream coz the place is really sunny !
There are boat tours for snorkeling or diving, even fishing. 
There are vegan dishes everywhere.

We have to say thank you to Alex for her warm welcome. She prepared us a cake for my fiancée's birthday, which shows how much she cares for her guests.

My Way Cambodia, the place to enjoy a peaceful stay

We stayed for 5 nights in a private room. We were lucky and had room nr.1 which is on seaside. The bed is very comfy. We had a fan in the room, but sometimes the power was gone, but that’s normal on the island. We didn’t care much :-) mosquito net is provided. The geckos were very cute ;-) Owners are friendly. There is no breakfast and just sometimes a dinner. We had a vegetarian curry which was nice. 5min to walk to lonely beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches we saw. Like all the other places in cambodia Koh Ring Samleom is fighting with the trash problem. So if you go please make sure you don’t waste too much plastic and put your trash in the bin.

Great place to stay

Very basic accommodation but most places in mpay bay seem to be, not as described on booking.com, not bungalows just a shed with roof opened to all rooms so can hear all other guests not private, shared bathroom and shower, no hot water but again not many places on island probably do still a work in progress this part of the island, roof leaked on us in our sleep but was a very bad storm, staff very nice and helpful and good location for mpay bay 

Friendly staff

This backpacker hostel is basic (which is not a negative thing!). I stayed in a 6 beds dorm for 4 nights. 

No AC but there is fan in the room (if I remember correctly, there is no electricity during the night so the fan doesn't work. But this wasn't a problem at all). There are mosquito nets. 

Despite the room being built with logs (which means there are several gaps where insects can get in) I haven't found any during my whole staying. It helps the fact that rooms are on the first floor.

Bucket shower and toilet.

This part of the island is mainly populated by locals. It's the best part of the island in my view. It's very slow paced and quiet, it's ideal if you want a quiet break.

The main beach is just 10 mins walking distance.

Overall, I am happy I have chosen this place.
