The room is dirty, the toilet is more like dirty! If you don't want to be sick, don't go there...the fridge is full with dirt and mould. The room is in catastrophical condition, dirt everywhere and mold too. Spiders, and bugs. This hostel does not deserves only one client. 

Horror hostel!

I stayed in a room that smelled of ranced, jeg and damp!  mattresses, carpet, unwashed curtains, infected toilet!  as in the Middle Ages!  I suggest you avoid so as not to get sick! a horror camera, shame on the location!

Horor

I stayed here with my husband and 3-year-old daughter for 2 nights. This is a shared accommodation, meaning you get a room (or two) and share the bathroom and common spaces, but we were the only ones there over the Easter Weekend so we had the place to ourselves. It is very "old-school" in terms of furniture but it was clean, and the location was fantastic! We were able to walk everywhere easily, and yet this is a quiet location and safe. The views from the balcony are beautiful. The host was lovely and available when needed. This is a great value for your money!

Great views, great location!

We were renting two apartments at this place while we were visiting Veliko Tarnovo and the vicinity. I understand that for the price you can't expect much, but man, that place was really dirty. Check out the photos to see what I'm talking about. The bathroom wasn't cleaned for ages, literally. On top of it, there was no hot water available during both nights of our stay (first night was kind of "warm", to be fair). When contacted, the host said that some pump got jammed in the basement and " there was nothing he can do". I see many people mention the view, which in fact, is awesome, BUT... does it really matter with that wasps nest on the last floor balcony? I'd rather watch it from the Asenevtsi monument...

Dirty, no hot water, DIRTY!

Clean, good service, cheap and reliable host. This is what Guestrooms Roos has to offer. It is not fancy or luxurious but you have ALL you need for a confortable stay in Veliko. 

The host was more than helpful with all our requests and even made room for the car and motorcycle to be parked in the garage. 

Good valie for money and awesome balcony view

While travelling with a big group (22 persons), we visited Veliko Tarnovo and stayed in Roos's hostel. We had no idea what kind of place we we're going to stay, and we we're very surprised. For the prices of a cheap hostel, you have multiple types of bedrooms, with a maximum of 6 beds. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. All the bedrooms had a very homely style, with carpets, old pictures and paintings (painted by the owner). Speaking of the owner, he was a very enthousiastic guy, who helped us with everything we asked for (piking us up from the trainstation, getting us the right cabs during our stay, opening a certain supermarket near the hostel, making reservations in the nicest restaurants). He told us he was a painter, he owned his own dance studio and his mom used to be an opera-singer. He knows everyone around Gurko street and is just a genuine friendly, somewhat hyperactive guy. 

Best things about this place?
- Way more awesome than you expect of a hostel
- Very friendly owner
- Beautiful view

Less good:
- No common room
- No breakfast included
