At $48 a night (as advertised just now) I would have given it 4 stars but we paid $73, therefore our expectations were not met at that level, hence 3 stars. 
The best part is the breakfast food that is varied enough (ham, cheese, fresh fruits besides pastries) but there was no tea nor hot water (I always travel with tea bags). I had to look around to find a microwave and cater to myself, no staff around.
Another good thing is the free safe parking they have.
The pillows were abominably hard and the bathroom so tiny you could only hang one towel out of three. No real toiletries (2 miserable "shampoo" bags), no soap. Nothing to put your luggage which had to stay on the floor.

Breakfast much better than rooms

We really had a great time in Tiradentes and great part of it thanks to Josi the owner of this B&B. She was super attentive, had great local recommendations (food, dining, where to buy furniture, day trips) and the B&B is just a stroll away from the historical center where all the action takes place. 
Another thing we loved, the mattress, really nice and firm!
Next time we visit for sure we'll go back. 

PS: Breakfast is super nice. Everything freshly made, best Pao de Queijo ever!

Great family style B&B

This is a typical brazilian B&B, simple clean rooms, with shower and breakfast. Josi is very attentive and is always around to help in whatever you need. The location is very convenient and the fact that they have private parking is a plus. Like I said, the rooms are just that, room and shower - spotless, I couldn't fault it on this item, and I am a very picky person... The breakfast is brazilian, so don't expect cereals and yoghurt. On the other hand you will have local items that make all the difference. Freshly made juice, a variety of fruits, bread, pao de queijo, butter (real butter, so hard to find! I even bought one to bring home with me!), biscuits, cakes, cakes and cakes, soft cheese, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there - If I must add a fault, it was the patchy wi-fi signal...

Simple rooms and delightful breakfast

Josi is a very friendly host and she has a nice hotel. It is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It is located near the historic center and there are shops and resteraunts nearby. This is a nice place to stay in Tiradentes. There is a large secure parking area in the hotel.

Good location

It's simple but cozy B&B. Not sure if most of the staff were from the same family, but they were all extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also very good. 
Very recommendable for the price .
