Pousada das Flores ---- Iguassu Falls --- Foz do Iguacu

Fabio & Angela are fabulous!! They are so kind and friendly. Fabio picked us up at the airport (make sure you remind him when you are coming in a day before), dropped us off at the falls, & told us how to get to the Pousada via city bus when we were done. We had to walk about half a mile from the bus stop, but Fabio's instructions were perfect. The room is not a luxury suite. Angela provides a wonderful breakfast every morning. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner. Fabio took such good care of us for the 3 days we were there. He arranged: 1) a tour guide who took us to the Argentinean side of the falls which included transiting customs into & out of Brazil & Argentina. We were dropped off & left on our own with 8 other people for 7 hours to explore the Agentinian side of the falls (we prefer to do our own thing). 2) A taxi driver who was able to take us to Ciuded del Este, Paraguay...we just wanted to be able to say we had been in Paraguay. It is not the safest place in the world, but he kept us safe, and afterwards took us to the Buddhist temple in Foz, and then dropped us off at the falls for another visit. The driver did not speak English, but we were able to communicate effectively with the Google Translate app on our phones. 3) a cab driver to take us to the airport in Argentina, which again included transiting customs out of Brazil and into Argentina. The property is beautiful with all of the many trees and flowers Fabio has planted. One evening we just relaxed in the pool. This was a perfect stay, and I would highly recommend staying here as long as you do not expect luxury...it is humble and worth every dollar we spent.
