Nice location, near Pontal do Atalaia, Praia Grande, and also within walking distance to Praia dos Anjos. It's located in a quiet street, easy to park. The staff is very friendly, they even waited for us although we were late for breakfast which, by the way, was very well-served.

We stayed here while taking our PADI Scuba Diving Certifications. Clean dorm and bathroom. The hostel is located close to the beach, Praia Grande. Not too far away from the town center (20 minutes to walk). Friendly staff

Average

This is a small hostel, but very well organized. We stayed in a private room which was spacious and clean,and even had a tv! The rooms are cleaned everyday, and the hostel provides towels. There is a swimming pool and several chairs to chill. The breakfast is amazing: exotic fruits, fresh juice, different types of bread, cheese,ham, eggs, cakes, biscuits, cereal, yogurt and coffee. The hostel is a bit far from the center, but it is possible to walk. 

Great place to stay

We stayed two nights in a 6 bed dorm at this hostel. The shared spaces are nice and big, airey and light. Breakfast is big; sausages, bread rolls, juice, fruit, cheese, ham etc. There are plenty of hammocks and sunbeds to relax on and a big pool. The owner was very helpful and spoke a little English which was great. He can help you book boat tours to the island if you need. The hostel is within walking distance to everywhere, including a nice beach 10 minutes away. The town is safe and easy going - plenty of supermarkets, banks, restaurants etc. The bus to Cabo Frio leaves just outside the hostel.

The dorm beds were the most expensive I have seen ever, but from research it seems to be the standard in this town. I would recommend staying here.
