Opted for a non-air conditioned room, and the sea breezes and fan were sufficient.  Single room with a shared bathroom (outside and around the corner) but never had to wait.  Grounds are beautifully landscaped, the room was clean, and the outdoor public area with hammocks and cooking option was a nice bonus.  Location was excellent!  In the middle of the laid-back action and across the street from the water where there was a seating area and small swimming area.

Feels like a home away from home

Everything you need to be comfortable is here. And if you need anything, the family, who lives upstairs, will help. We enjoyed cooking our own dinner in the communal kitchen one evening. The location is good and the street is quiet by 8PM. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Great stay!

We stayed here in 2015 and it was lovely. We always remember our stay at Blue Wave with nostalgy and tenderness so were more than happy to get a room here again, especially as it was Easter time and we had no booking.
This time, again, it was perfect. The hotel is situated on the main street of Caye Caulker with a seaview and an access to a private pier that we took advantage of. It is close to restaurants, supermarkets and snorkelling tours agencies.
The room was comfortable, nice and clean, it was quiet, though on the main street , we didn’t mind a shared bathroom. There is no air conditioning, only a fan. There is an open kitchen with all the utensils if you want to make some food. Or drink some rum ;) There are also a few hammocks.
The owner was kind and hospitable and the price ok, we pay 60BZ per night.

lovely place!

Had a great time, the Blue Water was inexpensive, clean, and a good location. Lots of everything just a short walk away but far enough so you didn't get the late night noise. Drinks are inexpensive as is the food,

Caye Caulker is a wonderful get away

Just checked out of Blue Wave. We loved the location, private deck with ocean view, great room cleaning service and towels. We had all we needed for our beach/diving trip. Very nice staff. Not a loud location. Great value! Owners on site.

Blue Wave Guest House great hotel on Caye Caulker

We stayed in a ground floor unit with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was always clean and kept tidy. 

There was plenty of space on the property to relax and enjoy shade and breeze!

The only thing that would make it better? A/C in the space. It looked like they were renovating, so maybe soon?

Would definitely stay again!

We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. This hotel was one of the most affordable options on the island, it’s standard and really good value for money for Caye Caulker.

The location is absolutely fantastic and central - on the Main Street, just a few minutes’ walk from the ferry, all while being relatively quiet and right in front of the beach (perfect for sunrises!)

The room was clean, periodically cleaned, and had all the basics we needed. The wifi worked well and the hot water as well. My only comment would be the kitchen cutlery and utensils which were a bit old...

great location, super close to the split and a lot of restaurants and bars around it. not too noisy from the street, but a couple nights noisy from the place next door. front desk person was super nice and helpful. we were able to extend our stay by a couple of days because we loved the island so much. shower has warm water which is a plus. rooms are cozy, enough room for two people. has a tv and lots of channels. was nice to come back and relax to. our room had AC and a fan. the AC works super well, that i had to turn it off in the middle of the night because we were cold haha. 

this place also is a hostel and has rooms downstairs for that. has a communal kitchen and bathrooms. also has some hammocks to lay out in and some chairs. we didn’t stay in that part of the building but could use the amenities if we wanted. 

would stay here again in caye caulker.

Stayed here for four nights last night and had a great stay.

Staff were helpful are I had an issue with my booking. Location right opposite the water and close to everything.
Caye Caulker, Belize is more costly than neighbouring countries so expect to pay more.

I would recommend getting a room with aircon as it was quite warm the first night in my room. 

Great place to stay on Caye Caulker

The location of the hotel was great, close enough to walk from the pier after getting the ferry over and to the spilt.

We had one of the basic rooms with shared bathroom which were fine for our stay. It was tidy and the property is obviously well looked after. There was no air con in the room but a large fan was provided which kept it cool enough.

Downsides which I hope could be easily corrected are soap dispensers being filled and towels/paper towels provided (having to take your own hand soap/and towel and toilet paper with you each time you use the bathroom gets tiresome quickly) also a fridge in the rooms would be a great touch, keeping drinks cold and storing some food for backpackers would be good seeing as there is the basic kitchen which is available to be used. 

Overall would recommend but hope this little touches could be addressed?
