We really enjoyed the stay at Zenzo hotel and Sandra who was responsible during our stay was very friendly, communicative and helpful with shopping tips in Gent and how to enjoy the most the facilities at their hotel. First of all we surprised to see 2 very negative reviews on TripAdvisor and definitely the ratings on Booking.com are more accurate for this hotel than on TripAdvisor. So here is our experience: REASON for choosing this hotel: - we were driving from Brussels towards Gent and we did not wanted to stay in Gent - we wanted something more private and peaceful from city vibe - this hotel was a perfect choice - we got a even a small discount when making the reservation via the phone STAFF - Sandra and the team at the hotel create the impression of a family owned hotel - they are communicative, funny and always eager to make the stay as comfortable as possible (they brought us bottles of mineral water in the room free of charge, they have been clear when to use their spa facilities etc.) - we book the hotel 1 week before arriving and we have always experienced fast responses. ROOM - we were 3 adults and we booked the family room which is was definitely bigger than 40sqm - really spacious room with even dining table - the rooms are fresh, since they appear to be recently renovated - beds very comfortable FACILITIES - free parking - there is an outdoor swimming pool with 28C degrees warm water - outdoor sauna - indoor sauna - please notice that the best is to book these facilities (free of charge) since sometimes other guests can book entire spa room just for themselves for few hours. AREA of IMPROVEMENT: - the hotel had its rooms fully renovated and most probably it hallways will be soon renovated, since they do not appear fresh. - perhaps more professional sets of bathroom needs can be offered (soap, shower gels, balm etc)
