We have just returned from a fabulous stay at Pension Michael. As a group we have been skiing for many many years throughout Austria and Italy . We all agree this accommodation is probably the best we have ever stayed in and will in  future be hard pushed to beat it. Pension Michael is well located, a few minutes walk from the Shattberg Express lift, it is absolutely spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious, modern and very comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily and  those with apartments have everything you could possibly require- can’t think of anything that was overlooked. Antonia and her lovely Mum are friendly and welcoming and create a warm and friendly atmosphere among guests at breakfast time. The breakfast is delicious , plentiful and fresh.Highly recommend and thank you for a wonderful stay at Pension Michael

Everything about Pension Michael is fabulous

Clean and spacey excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Always helpful. They also have a great sauna. Storage place for skis is great. Overall great experience and place to be with the family. Very much recommended. We will consider to come back perhaps for the bike season

What a perfect stay in Pension Michael. Friendly hosts always available to help. Clean, modern and comfortable room. Short walk to ski lifts. One of the best breakfast I have had in Austria with many quality options. Authentic Finnish sauna available after hard skiing day.

We, a family of four, stayed one week at Pension Michael in a two-room apartment during our skiing vacation in February. We had a fantastic stay, very clean and comfortable rooms, good location and super friendly staff. The breakfast was top notch and the sauna / relaxing area was also really nice. 

We can strongly recommend Pension Michael.

Great stay in Saalbach

We stayed here for a full week for a snowboard trip. The rooms were spacious and modern, the bathrooms were nice with a big shower, and the overall pension is clean and appears modern. Due to a fault of a third party (not the hosts at Pension Michael), we got a smaller apartment than we paid for, but the hosts were happy to help amend the situation and communicate with the third party for us. They genuinely wanted us to be happy with our stay. 

The hosts are incredibly polite and helpful, and care for each and everyone of their customers. They give you great tips for where to go and what to do if you ask them. They are very knowledgeable. 

The breakfast is nice, and has options for plant-based/vegan/vegetarian customers. They have really nice coffee, too! 

The beds are quite on the firm side, so it was a bit too firm for us (slender people), but the duvets and pillows are super nice. I slept quite well, none the less, after being on the mountain all day. 

The pension is close to the city centre, and several gondolas and a chairlift, and the ski bus stops very close to the pension. The basement has a nice new locker-room with heating and ventilation to dry your gear after a long day. Easy to get in and out with your equipment. 

A great place to stay, and the hosts will make it feel like your second home. 10/10 will come back :)

Lovely hosts and great breakfast!

Enjoyed a perfect ski-week in Saalbach. Staying at Pension Michael, a small and cosy family pension, a short walk from Schattberg Express. Nice and clean rooms, including TV and Wifi. Great breakfast in a relaxet atmosphere, with the hostess looking after everyone. Ski-stall in the basement, with lockers for skis and drying of boots. Absolutely highly recomendable..

Perfect hostess @ Pension Michael

I enjoyed my stay at Pension Michael immensely! My room was comfortable, modern and kept very clean! I usually don't like to eat breakfast in the mornings but here I did and it had it all!
Antonia and her mother made my stay very enjoyable! From giving me a cookie with the afternoon coffee to help with laundering my dirty mountain bike clothes!
Will definitely be back next time I go to Saalbach!

Great place to stay

This is the best breakfast in Saalbach. They also got nice and clean rooms, very friendly staff. It’s also a good location in Saalbach and pretty close to the first lift, 6 minutes walk. A perect place to stay.

A perfect place to stay in Saalbach

Very good hotel and the most friendly owners. They took very good care of me while i was in flu and had to stay at the hotel when others where skiing. They even bring me soup lunch to our room and helped with everything else also. The room was great and just as in pictures. Breakfast was also great.
