My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights from 27/12.
It is a lovely guesthouse run by a lovely couple,
It is in a really good place to commute to the lake and into bregenz and beyond.
I can't reccomend this place enough

Lovely place,  lovely couple

We stayed here for two nights during the Bregenzer Festspiele. It proved ideal, with a bus stop nearby and the station within easy walking distance. The room had obviously been recently renovated and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Sadly, the wifi signal never worked but, that apart, we would be very happy to return in the future.

Comfortable and friendly 

We had to stop in Lochau unexpectedily, sio we had no reservation for a room. And for sure there was no rooms on the hotels. However, this pretty and friendly Gaestehaus welcomed us (two persons) in a room for 6 and that was a great stay with wonderful breakfast for a very reasonable price! I recommend this place to everyone!

The best one-night saty I ever had!

This was as close to Bregenz as we could get for a decent price during the opera festival.
A ten minute walk from the train station. Lovely town. Very quiet.

The only warning I give (that I was warned about by other reviewers) is the church right across the street has loud bells that ring every quarter hour. 

The staff were so lovely and helpful. We were even given a ride to the train station when we left because there were no taxis.

Breakfast was just wonderful.

It is sort of in the middle of nowhere though. The stores and restaurants close very early and then there is nothing around.

Our room was very nice and had a little kitchenette.

There was some very heavily perfumed product in the bathroom though that we couldn't get rid of. We had to hold our breathes when going in to use the washroom or it was a bit overbearing.

Lovely gastehaus, a quick train ride to Bregenz

Warning: English is sparse here but if you know just a little German, the staff will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs and wishes. Ask for a room with a view of the lake. The hotel is located in a neighborhood, where there's lots of people-watching to do. The hotel is bright and clean. Our rooms were spotless.This is located in a renovated historical structure, so some compromises for headroom are evident. I am 6'6" and had to watch the doorframes. Breakfast is tailored to your individual wishes and served individually.
 There is an excellent restaurant down the street in front, a 5 minute walk. The heart of Bregenz is a 10 minute drive away, as is the Pfaenderbahn Parkplatz. We spent two nights here and enjoyed every minute. My wife's allergies were giving her fits but we learned that no pharmacies were open because it was a holiday. Our hostess picked up her phone and made several calls, then informed us that there would be a pharmacy open for two hours that morning for emergency service. Interesting experience - through a deep set service window, with a call button and intercom, summoning the single pharmacist in the store, who was very helpful.The store did not look open; had we not been told what to expect and what to do, we would have never stopped there. This would be a great base to explore this region of Austria. Bring your own pillow unless you like thick lumpy pillows. And...the church across the street does have loud bells, striking once each quarter hour as well as the hour on the hour. At 0700 the bells go berserk for about 10 minutes; either get up or burrow under the thick pillow!

A Gem of a hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It is very clean and tidy. Breakfast was generous and the service was very professional but still very friendly. The church bells are rung frequently and quite late at night but they did not bother us it did not disturb our sleep. It is a short walk to reach the lake and then a pleasant walk to reach Bregenz.

Lovely hotel

Impecably clean, cute , convienient and very friendly sums up this delightful b&b just outside of Bregenz. Across the road is a cycle hire shops and everyone cycles here, so park the car grab a bike and enjoy the lake. Ideally situated between Bregenz and Lindau about 10 to 15 mins easy cycle, a lovely comfortable family run b&b. Beds are comfy, room large and a hearty breakfast. Lovely. Next door to a church so beware the bells.
