Great hotel, friendly staff, short walk to lifts, nice little bar and good food. Ski to door possible and good boot room. The bedroom was a good size with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a very quiet area and our room was very quiet.

Great friendly hotel for those that are budget conscious.

Fabulous family-run hotel just 5 minutes walk into the town and to ski hire and lifts.
Rooms spacious, well appointed and exceptionally clean. 
Plenty of choice for breakfast, with eggs (and bacon, mushrooms etc) prepared fresh to order.  Dinner was always excellent and delivered to order, too. And tap water included on the table, which has become a thing of the past in recent years.
Small bar, but there is space to expand into the reception/lounge area; excellent boot and ski rooms too.
The staff were both friendly and accommodating.
Beautiful walking territory as well as easy access to fantastic skiing.
Would go back in a heartbeat, and hope to return.

Small but perfectly formed in a winter wonderland

Strange place.....

Rooms are very spacious and views are stunning. 

Restaurant is small, tables are too close together. The choice for breakfast is poor, cold meats and bread and if you want anything warm, it's scrambled or fried egg!!

The evening meals were good, a nice selection over the week.

What let's the hotel down is the staff! There was a lovely lady called Rosie that was always smiling and very helpful, she couldn't do enough for you. The rest of the staff made you feel uncomfortable, never smiled or engaged with you. They really looked like they couldn't be bothered.

The bar area is tiny and you are in top of each other. We were a group of 9 and wanted to relax amd enjoy the evening, but that soon stopped when we were told to ssssssshhhhhhhh. This was extremely rude and ruined the last 3 night of our stay.

I guess on reflection this is way it's a 3*, but it cost nothing to smile and be hospitable. Treat your guest with respect and not lock them in a small eating area with the doors closed.

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Bergheim.

I really can’t praise this hotel enough.  The rooms we had were very very spacious and spotlessly cleaned everyday by the cleaning staff.  The location was great at the end of a long itinerary but just a 5 mins walk to the lifts.

The restaurant food was beautiful both in terms of preparation but also of the quality of the ingredients was just superb and I really mean that.  The food was some of the best I have eaten in the alps or indeed anywhere.  Every single thing we ate was simply delicious.  Even our normally fussy children appreciated and enjoyed it.  The hotel were prepared to be flexible and offer alternatives for them but to be honest we rejected their kind offer - and were pleased we did  as, as I said the children actually really appreciated it.  They also provided a special local dessert for me (at the request of my wife!!!) and the vegetarian in our group was catered for with dedicated food (not the usual - we’ll just remove the meat but and stick a mushroom on top instead)

Too brief a review here but finally I really wanted to call out all of the staff in the hotel.  Everyone - and I mean everyone - was incredibly welcoming and friendly with nothing too much trouble.  I am not going to call our names or jobs here as that would be unfair.

Brilliant Hotel!

My wife and I stayed at Bergheim Hotel week of 15th January 2022.  The hotel was superb!  The staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.  The hotel is ideal for an “Alpine” holiday, very clean with many nice decorative touches to enhance the ambience.  Its location, slightly elevated above the village, adds to the Alpine feel.  Our room was spacious and very comfortable, as were the beds, and from our balcony we had a fine view over the valley, the village below and up to the mountains.  It seemed to us most or all rooms will have a pretty good view and it was great to hear the church bells in the distance.  The food was always very good and usually excellent!!  The sauna and relaxation suite were also very good; well laid out, spacious, tastefully decorated and with plenty natural light.  All aspects of the hotel were very good or excellent.

Just superb

First guests for Winter ski season after Austria's lockdown. Felt very clean and safe.  Very traditional, warm and homely with friendly manger and staff.
Large bedroom and bathroom with bath, shower over and separate WC. Good storage, tv and safe. Lift. Excellent ski and boot room with loads of space and good access. Food excellent with 4 course dinners and choice of main. Ample breakfast, with fruit, yogurts, hams and cheeses and eggs to order. Only downside was lack of  atmosphere as so few guests staying this week, and sitting at the bar not on. We were the only Brits, with mainly German and a few Dutch guests, who drive there. The morning walk in ski boots, carrying skis was rather treacherous down the relatively short steepish ice and snow packed road to the village main road ,  but it did get gritted and we survived with care. All in all a brilliant hotel and good value. We went with Crystal and this was by far the cheapest they offered, yet it has all you need and could wish for and is reasonably close to the village centre. We hope to go back some day.
