The appartment was big, spotlessly clean and very cosy. We were three and there were 5 comfortable beds. Kitchen was well equipped, I just missed the strainer.The owner was very friendly. We came hours  before check in time and it was not a problem. Supermarket is 2 minutes ride away. There are also restaurants nearby. The location of the apartment is a good base for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

COSY

Apartment was spacious and comfortable. It has an excellent location surrounded by fantastic views. It's just a 20 minutes drive to Hallstatt and an hour drive to the Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden. Host was helpful.  Would recommend this place.

Good value for money

This property is amazing value for money. It is located slightly outside the village center but very walkable distance. The views from the property of the snow clad mountains, clouds running over the mountains, finely cut green grass on the mountain ascent and even the vehicles running on the highway 300 mtrs away are so good that you spend the whole day watching them.

This place is slightly secluded. Hallstatt is about 15 kms away. So, you must have a vehicle.

Also, the owner didn't know much about the salzkammergut card, which can get you discount. But when i told him, he readily filled the form and i went to the tourist office to get the card. Takes 2 mins at the tourist office.

Fantastic Views

A very clean and neat Hotel with spacious rooms. It offers a kitchen with basic needs. The surrounding is picturesque and the village itself is an abode for relaxing. This is an ideal place to halt, especially if you are driving yourself. There is abundant parking space and it is free of cost. 

The place is very close to Hallstatt and hence one may visit Hallstatt from here. The hotel is highly recommended for budget travelers, who do not wish to compromise on basic comforts. I had been with my family and enjoyed the stay. 

Gosau is a famous skiing destination as well.

A Quiet Hotel Amidst a Scenic Suurounding

We paid €90 for a room without brakfast. It's located in a lovely site on the outskirts of Gosau valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. There are beautiful views from the balcony. Cash only, no cards. We had a very large apartment, but it seemed dated and a bit cluttered.

Lovely location

The location of the apartment is amazing. It is in small town Gosau which is about 7 Km from Gosau lake and 18 km from well known Hallstatt. If you are traveling by road in your own vehicle, this is a place to stay. You can cycle, walk or drive in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Owners are helpful

Amazing view and comfortable spacious rooms

Apartment owner is a very nice and helpful person. She even helped carrying luggage upstairs. Rooms had a nice balcony with a very good view. We arrived little late and couldn't find this address in our navigator... when we called her, she asked us to wait near the junction and came within 5 mins and took us to the property which is located in countryside.

We chose this property since Gosau was just 10-15 mins drive to world heritage site "Hallstatt" where hotel and apartment prices are very expensive. Elfi Pension is very cheap and value for money.

Parking is free. I would definitively visit this place again.

Only problem is that we need to pay by Cash!!!
