I had the unfortunate luck in picking this accomodation. It is a long way from the city or Fremantle and the tourist attractions Perth has to offer and there is no public transport nearby. It's in an isolated area and it's a long 15 minute walk to the nearest shop which is a pricey service station. There is no entertainment in the area or surrounds. The host was most intrusive asking personal questions and coming into the room whilst we were unpacking and telling us the rules which were endless, her manner was intrusive and I understand that she is an elderly woman and totally unaware of her demeanour but her repetitive and quick speech had us taken aback and the whole situation became uncomfortable until I offered to sit and go through our booking and plans with her at the kitchen table. This is as only the first of many intrusive questions from the host and she seemed erratic in her speech on each occasion so I actually went and bought her some flowers as a way of having some privacy and to elevate how uncomfortable it felt staying there. The flowers helped I think because she was more interested in the other guest as we sat and had our breakfast 3 varieties of breads for toast and 4 different cereals and condiments to choose from, this also came with apple, orange and pineapple juice and coffee and tea which guests are free to use at any time although I made the mistake at 3pm to make myself a coffee and the host chastised me for walking around the house and asked me why I was doing that even though I was just walking to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Our room was tiny and the double bed was right next to the shower which has given the room a mouldy smell the water from the shower hits the bed and it was getting wet it is less than 1 metre from the shower to the bed and I could not believe there was a shower in a bedroom of this size with no doorway or walls in between to protect from the bed becoming soaked and the room smelling of mould. It has a kitchenette in this room and it just all does not fit the room being only 4mtr X 3mtr. We barely slept the whole night and it was so cold and damp. We were booked for two nights but just stayed the one night. We didn't get a refund on the second nights accomodation but were happy with that as we found a great place closer to attractions at half the price.

Tiny room with bad smell

Recently, my fiancé and I have moved from Northern Ireland to work in Perth for a few years. It was a daunting transition as we had no permanent accommodation lined up for our initial arrival! 
This transition was made a whole lot easier when to our surprise we were greeted with a warm & friendly Northern Irish welcome at Como Waters B&B! The hosts were a delight & made our stay at Preston St. as pleasant as possible. 
Our homely accommodation was spotless & the one bedroom self-contained apartment had all the necessities we required in order to sleep, wash, cook & relax! 
The location was ideal as its near a supermarket, pharmacy, bar & restaurants. It also has good access to city centre/ Perth Zoo using the no. 30 bus into Perth city centre. 
We highly recommend this B&B to everyone. 

A Home Away From Home. 

I rented the 2nd floor 'executive' apartment (Preston Ave) and can't help wondering if reviews shouldn't be split between the apartments and the B & B?? They seem to provide quite a different experience.
At the apartments you really just get let in and left to your own devices - there is no water, milk or anything like that as mentioned in some reviews. That was fine for my purposes but some people might be surprised having read the reviews. It is most definitely not 'luxury' accomodation and there are no frills or extras of any sort.
The person who let me in seemed quite proud of the fact that they don't remove food etc left by previous occupants and said I could help myself but frankly I found that odd and a bit unsavoury. 
On the plus side, there is a very handy shopping centre less than five minutes walk down the road and you can buy all you might need at the IGA supermarket and/or takeaways.
There are some pretty strict instructions about doing your own dishes and putting out the rubbish or you'll be charged extra! The rubbish bins in the attached garage had obviously been well utilised in compliance and were a bit ripe with what I guess were decomposing takeaways. The smell pervaded the downstairs and stairwell. 
I was there a week and the cleaner came once so two pretty modest towels had to suffice the first 5 days. Sadly the washing machine on site was not working. To be fair, I didn't realise this until late in my stay so didn't bother to raise it with the owners.
The property is on the market for sale and you do feel a bit like you're just helping pay the mortgage until then...The upstairs apartment while spacious was pretty spartan and that accentuated a somewhat 'temporary' feeling.
On the plus side, communication was good and the owners were helpful in accomodating an extension of my stay and advising I could check out an hour later than usual because the cleaner was not coming until after 11.
My last night I stayed in the downstairs apartment (due to upstairs being booked). This was actually much nicer than the upstairs apartment as it had two large bedrooms and a generous bathroom, including bath and separate shower. The only odd thing is the kitchen is in the public area at the bottom of the stairs.
So all in all a mixed bag. There isn't a huge amount of accommodation in the area and this was fine as a (minimally) serviced apartment. 
Very handy to the freeway, main roads and airport.

Not quite as expected...

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights in this wonderful bed and breakfast .
The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed; even a pretty little patio where we could spend our evenings.
Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess Kay- from advice and assistance with regard to our sightseeing plans to the use of the well appointed guest dining room when we arrived back late after a delightful day out with our 'take out' dinners .
We will definitely be back ! Thank you Kay.

A great introduction to Perth

Spotless. Really comfortable and fabulous breakfast just next to the CBD. The best accom we had in WA and real luxury with great host. A true delight with fluffy white towels spotless bathroom and great lounge. A very spacious place that deserves to do well.
