The apartments are very clean and well organised. Plenty of appropriate amenities and netflix on TV! Reception with some channels is a bit iffy but definitely not a dealbreaker. Fantastic that the (free!) WiFi lasts and is reliable. Is very close to the beach and a great spot to start your exploration of KI. Very reasonably priced and apartment is quite large considering you’ll be spending most of your time out anyway. Would recommend without hesitation 

Beautiful place and perfect location 

The accomodation had everything that we needed for our stay with a basic kitchen, bathroom and comfortable beds. It is essentially a shack so if you are happy with this style of accomodation then you will be happy. You can get a bit of noise from the apartment next door but this didnt worry us. Very quiet location in general which is nice and lots of birdlife. We used the bbq one night which was fine and there is a table to eat from near the bbq if the weather is fine. The beach nearby is rocky but go to brown beach or island beach not far away which are good for walks. It is 9km to penneshaw to the shops and cafes.

Very happy with our stay

Our apartment was easily booked over the internet and ken had a welcome sign and keys in the door when we arrived . We have travelled in many countries but have never found an apartment  as well equipped as this . The decor reflected kangaroo islands sea and sand theme , the bed was so comfortable and the “towels “ ( mentioned negatively in 1 review) were fine. Everything was clean and functioning.  If you are looking for accommodation like in the Sheraton or Raddison blue hotel chains then this experience is not for you !! This is kangaroo island and we thought it was great value for the money paid . Thanks ken 😀

Great holiday stay

Decor dated and basic and about 1/2 drive from any shops in order to buy basic provisions.  Towels small and very thin, and only 1 hand towel between four people.  Oven and grill not working.  Walls thin so little privacy both within our accommodation and adjoining apartment.   

Would recommend to  stay in Penneshaw or Kingscote as there is nothing here except for a few houses and a rocky beach front

Keys are just left in door so never had any contact with the owners

OK but!!

My wife and I spent two nights at here.  The apartments were a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal.  The place was clean and spacious.  There were a queen sized bed and a large bunk bed. The kitchen utensils were more than adequate.  We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

Spacious and comfortable

This apartment is dated back to 60's-70's but it is very well-kept.  Lots of parking in the front yard.  Quiet and safe neighbourhood, just minutes walk from Baudin Beach.  Clean apartment, comes with its own kitchen and there is a BBQ stove in the common area.  You may be greeted by a kangaroo!  Free wi-fi signal is very good in such isolated island.  The owner is very helpful and friendly.  This place is closer to Penneshaw, only 10 minutes drive, but since most tourist spots are closer to Kingscote, one has to be prepared for an extra of 33 minutes drive (from Kingscote).  So if someone plans to rent a car, be prepared to pay for the extra mileage.  Otherwise, this is a nice place to stay at.

Dated but well-kept apartment

Apparently they were built in the 70's but very well maintained and owners have really put a lot of thought into making them comfortable. 

Plenty of room and great layout (apartment 2) only the bathroom is a tad squeezy.

 Highlights for me include good free wifi, comfy bed and pillows, effective and quiet aircon/heater and plenty of power points. 

Layout works well and you can park right near the door. 

Greeted with my name on the door and a simple note with owner's mobile and wifi details. 

Also had a 1 litre long life milk in the fridge. Better than those skimpy little foil cups. 

A nice quiet spot only 10 minutes from the ferry terminal.

One of the most pleasant stays we've had for some time.

Old but Gold

When we arrived at the Baudin Beach Apartments, we saw our name on our door with a key.  

We didn't see the owner, until the next evening. he was very friendly.

The apartment was very comfortable. We liked it!

There was a double bed and another room with two single beds. we had a complete kitchen with a table as well and a shower and toilet. 

I liked the veranda!

We felt at home here and it wasn't that expensive.

We parked our car in front of our apartment.

This is worthwhile. A great place to sleep.
