Millie was a wonderful host.  Greeted us early so we could drop off our things.  Arranged a day of gaucho for the four of us.  Enjoyed a relaxing evening when we cooked, drank wine and stayed in at the B&B.

Great day in San Antonio de Areco

Loved this little place. Very cute, with a lovely little indoor courtyard. It wasn't luxury but it had a lovely character with nice clean rooms and access to the pool outside. The breakfast was all homemade with homemade bread and cakes (Not the healthiest). There were free bikes to hire which we made use of every day. Because we booked two nights we were offered late check out on Sunday so we were free to lounge by the pool all afternoon.

Cute little B&B and a great breakfast!

We were in San Antonio de Areco for the National Gaucho Festival and most places were booked. The triple room here was available. This bed and breakfast is not fancy and not immaculate.  It's a place to stay. The beds were comfortable enough. The breakfast was good. Probably the best part was Mily was very helpful in helping us understand the town and the points of interest.

Just Fine for What We Needed

Lovely b&b a little bit outside the centrum.

When we arrived, Magdalena showed us the activities that we could do and where to have lunch and dinner. That was very helpfull! 

They provide bikes and it was for us a great way to get around. 
We liked San Antonio a lot; no need to lock the bikes there, and we felt save to cycle in the evening. Cars that actually stop for you and the people in general where very kind. 

We stayed 2 nights and they offered us a late cheque out time, wich we apreciated al lot! 
We could use their kitchen: there is a bakery and little supermarkt across the road, great for making your own lunch.

We booked directly through them, wich made the roomrate cheaper. 

The room we stayed in is connected -with a locked door-, to another room. Therefor it can be a bit noisy. It didn 't disturb us, we all where very tame. 
There is on the side where we stayed a road with traffic. It didn't bother me, because I use earplugs at night. And my husband slept well, but he always does. 

The breakfast is pretty standard (they promised more: budines integrales, scons, frutas, jugos) and served in their sweet little patio:
Instant coffee, tea, milk & cornflakes, fresh white bread and they have real butter if you ask for it. A bonus was the cream cheese. And one morning they gave us fresh orange juice. If you are into Argentinian sweets, you might like the dulces they serve and their home made marmelade. 

We came from BA, Retiro bus station on a friday morning, with a bus compagny named Chevallier. The trip that would take normally 2 hours took 4! We heard they are notorious for coming late and having breakdowns. It might be worthwhile to arrange for a taxi or inform if there is other transportation that brings you to San Antonio. 
On the way back, a sunday afternoon it took us 2,5 hours.

Lovely B&B

At first this place looked pretty good - it's small but well appointed, with rustic decor and furniture.  The woman who greeted us was very friendly and spent a long time talking us through the map of the town.  The breakfast was also good each day, with home made cakes and fresh juice.  Unfortunately the toilet in our room was broken and wouldn't flush.   The woman running the place tried to fix it twice, but was unsuccessful both times.  After the first time she said a plumber would come the next day, but this did not happen.  I definitely got the impression that the toilet had been broken for some time.  This is unacceptable - there was no other toilet we could use (only three rooms and the other two were occupied) so we were basically left without a toilet in our room.
