I have been there with my brother. The hostel is very cozy and funny. Has a lot of common space, and the ping-pong table is the best! The energy that u feel there is unique! And is absolutely clean! Thanks a lot Luciana, Juan Pablo, Migue, Mercedes and all the staff!

Best hostel in Bariloche!

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a couple of days. The owner of wood house hostel is very friendly, helpful and laid back. The facilities are not the best but the welcoming atmosphere and liveliness out rules their lacking. Due to its large common room it's super easy to meet other people. Breakfast consists of typical Argentinian pastries, so if you like sweets you'll love it.

Around 7 minutes walk from the center.
I was on 4 beds dorms, very nice room with good breakfast ! 
Wifi connexion was ok ! And the staff was nice ! 
I liked the style of the hostel in Wood ! 
The only things, I didn't appreciate the musique they listen in a reception all days and nights, we could hear from the bedroom.


Good hostel

This place is bad bad bad !!!! They don't change the sheets at all & they are very stained ! there is dirt on the floor & a dirty dusty smell thru out the place !!! The young couple who run it are nice but I think cleaning in anyway shape or form is not on their agenda ! Bed bugs well you are virtually eaten alive here !! Over priced but wouldn't be if it was spotlessly clean....Go Elsewhere ! & not to mention they play very loud music to late at night so if you try to sleep after the bed bugs have had their fill you can't.

Very Dirty

We had a horrible experience here. I will inform you per topic...

STAFF:
The girl at the reception was nice and another guy working there also. They were helpful. 

ROOM:
My girlfriend and I were brought to a cellar / basement where there were 18 beds. Normally a dorm is 4 to 8 people, so this was a madhouse. There were no lockers. Beds laying everywhere. And of course a lot of noisy (party) people at night that get mad when you make a sound in the morning... We didn't sleep, it was awful.
The room is also at street level so you hear every passing car. There is also no curtain so everybody who passes by can look into the room.
O yeah, and it is also a storage so if your neighbour isn't a party guy/girl, it can be an oven, a broken computer or a chair.

THE BED:
I was laying on a thin mattress, so the wood bottom beneath it was hurting my back. It was like I was laying on a floor. 
Also, I only got a thing woolen blanket which was too small for me and it was very dusty. My eyes became red from it. So I decided to get my sleeping bag.

TOILETS:
One toilet was clogged. This wasn't fixed the whole day. I guess this is because 2 persons of personnel have to take care of about 50 people. Next to the basement there are also a lot of 'normal' dorms. I'll get to the bottom this number of people later.
The toilets were not cleaned, there was no toilet paper and it was occupied almost all the time. There are not enough facilities for the number of people.

SHOWERS:
The showers were always occupied and the one we had didn't have any cold water. Twisting the cold water handle didn't do anything so it was very hot (usually there isn't any hot water in the hostels :) ). So I waited for another shower. 

BREAKFAST:
Sugar coated pastries and pieces of baguette with jam. 3 kinds of jam, even. It is not much of a breakfast. But try to make breakfast for 50+ persons with 2 persons of staff.

ATMOSPHERE:
Because it is so crowded, there is bit enough space to move around. During breakfast you can't sit, in the cellar dorm don't know where to put your stuff, everybody has to wait for bathrooms, etc. It was a really weird atmosphere were people act kind of rude to each other. This is not nice for a happy holiday.

PRICE:
380 pesos for a bed in the 18 persons dorm and the total experience that I just explained to you. 
The most that I have paid during my whole world trip and the worst hostel I have been to. 

Avoid this hostel. It is just a quick money maker, the owner doesn't care at all about you if he runs the place like this.
