We paid for a triple room and were given a double room and the receptionists who know nothing about tourism simply did nothing to change our rooms. The rooms are very small in discomfort. No, I recommend it at all, there are many better hotels in Baños. This is the last time I stayed in that hotel.

I don't know anything about hotels.

I've been a customer of this hotel for years, maybe 10 years! and forgive many faults that the hotel has! And apparently these people don't pay attention to any of the comments from travelers! Read some comments carefully and many of us complain about the terrible attention we get when we're already frequent guests! The hotel has many faults! 1.- The parking lot is small and uncomfortable. 2.- If the rooms on the lower floors are dirty, take a dirty bath and sound very uncomfortable. 3.- The spa water never changes! it's dirty and dirty, I never care because I never use it! 4.- The staff is very, they have a terrible attitude. 5.- The internet is very bad and is constantly going bad.

The comfortable rooms, private parking, excellent service, located in the center of the holy water baths, opposite LaTaquiza y Bbq Time.

Normal for the price, the attention was good, the room was no problem and the bathroom was clean, the location is very good as it is in the center of Baños, the only place is that the walls are very thin.

I was a very good customer of this hotel x the attention and the rooms that gave me at the beginning but as I repeated my stages in the place I found terrible rooms that stink from the bathrooms or without plugs for the light or the wing of the machine room... and on occasion even dirty towels that smell the humidity and even more so on this occasion I made a reservation to spend the end of the year there and at the time of arrival I wanted to send to the other hotel that they have with the excuse that the other guests did not go out and they could not help me with the room the most angry gentleman said to me y Pes i can do nothing if you like it well also x this reason the money that you return me and retire me from the place service I recommend nothing but to recommend nothing but to you.

Horrible 

It is a clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are simple with the facilities a normal person will need. It has a good bed with TV. It is one the corner of the main square, which is good because its location is fantastic but a the same time it is a little bit noisy. I been here many times for my work as a tour guide. And I think I will be back one more time 

Good enough 

I would like to tell you about our stay at Hotel Elvira--if we had actually been able to stay there. Unfortunately, even though we called ahead yesterday and they confirmed they were holding a room for us, when we showed up at 10 pm, they did not hold a room as promised and we were turned away. The worst part is they made no effort whatsoever to help us find other accommodations. The desk clerk just said, "Sorry." And that was it. The whole reason we called ahead was we were concerned Banos would be sold out approaching New Years. Sure enough, hotel after hotel turned was sold out as we had feared. Thank God we were able to find a room at all. No thank you to Hotel Elvita for giving us a good scare that we'd have to sleep in the park. How unprofessional! To quote Jerry Seinfeld, "They know how to take the reservation; They just don't know how to hold the reservation." Book elsewhere unless you want to be unpleasantly surprised on arrival. 

Hotel did not honor our reservation. Let us stranded late at night with no hotel and everything else sold out.

This hotel is right next to the bus station which is why it was chosen when arriving into town at 9 pm.  The room was large but sparse with just the beds, a small dresser and night stand.  Floors are tiled throughout.  Room does have a flat screen TV, not found in normal hostals/hotels for this price.  You get only a single towel per person (normal in Banos) with no wash towel, bath mat, etc.  

The bathroom was a little cramped with a small sink and a falling down shower curtain.  Never had hot water for a shower, tepid at best.  The window was rusted and mildewed.  Overall, this hotel did not feel exceptionally clean.  

Like all hostals, there is no AC so windows open at night lead to extraordinary noise from the street below.  There are lots of neighborhood noises all night long.  You will not sleep much!!  (We had to move to another hostal, it was terribly loud on the weekend.) 

The staff did not speak any English and while not mean or nasty, did not seem to be as welcoming as most others on my travels.

Overall, this was close to the bus station, that is its only up side.  There are better, quieter & cheaper hostals within walking distance of the terminal.  Try Timara Hostal - a much better stay for half the price..

Loud & not the best choice

We stayed here two nights. We picked this hotel because the rooms seemed nice and they had a garage. We should have read tripadvisor first.  It started on the first day when we noticed the wifi was not working. When we complained the owners accused us of not having paid yet. Lucky we had it on paper! 
The second night was truly a horror. The owners were having a get together and you could hear the tv, yelling and the games trough the entire hotel and rooms. We complained at 1 am, 3 am but it wasn't until multiple people went down at 4 am to complain that they finally stopped.  We actually considered leaving in the middle of the night. 
Truly the worst hotel I have ever been in, and believe me I have been in quite some dumps. Avoid at all cost.

Horror hotel

It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom (hot showers) had a wall of windows sparsely covered by shower curtains turned regular curtains.. It was loud. So loud. A staff member was playing a game so loudly in the lobby I had a hard time falling asleep. It's run by 20-25 year olds and I think that explains the noise level. The rooms were like mini-replications of hotels like Best Western or Holiday Inn, it was kind of weird. We were only here for 1 night, but I think you can definitely find better places to stay than this.
