I knew something was wrong when my cheery handshake to say we were pleased to visit was responded with a glum response (and ignoring my children who held their hands out to sat hello). The Villa is up for sale and it has a sadness about it. 

The decor is Danish and elegant, yet the cleaning poor. We had terrible quality towels ( never replaced in three days) and our bathroom which was shared between 3 rooms was never cleaned during our visit. I really did not expect to share one bathroom between 7 people ( which we did).

We felt unwelcome in this house ( which was more expensive than our hotel in Copenhagen). I has high expectations of a super luxurious boutique B n B - but that us not what this place is. 

A few smiles, some charm, decent towels and cleaning would have certainly enhanced our stay.

But the place is up for sale ....and that is clear in the attitude of the staff who,perhaps don't care now.

Did not live up to expectations

When we arrived at the Villa we were delighted - beautiful property, large room and a huge shared balcony.  However, it had escaped our notice that it is shared facilities - with up to three (at least rooms).  We asked for extra pillows as there was only one provided and I have a very bad back.  I was provided with three mismatched cushions from a sofa which really didn't cut the mustard. There is no TV - no worries really but being it was a freezing winter night a quick look would have been good, but I can understand why the rooms have not been fitted with these due to the thin nature of the walls.  There is a train line fairly close behind the property - it didn't really bother us with the windows closed but it would have done if they were open.  Breakfast was lovely, but on a shared table with the rest of the guests and at a pre-prescribed time.  The worst part was the one hour it took our hostess to realise she had made a mistake with the bookings - she was confident we hadn't paid despite e-mail evidence and conversations with the booking agent until an hour later she realised her mistake.

We have stayed in a lot of accommodation over our travelling years and this I guess was not for us.

Lovely Property, BUT

We just stayed two brief nights, but this is a delightful place for a mini-break. Its just a short train trip from Copenhagen, and included within the Copenhagen city card limits. So its a good alternative to expensive city centre hotels.
There is a bus outside straight into Helsingor, where there is the Kronborg Castle and a lovely small, old town to explore, plus more seaside spots along a very convenient tramline. And the Louisiana Museum is just a few train stops away - an absolute must see, as much for its art as the stunning coastal setting! Stay for lunch.
Its all very peaceful and scenic.
The Villa itself has beautiful rooms, furnishings like home, relaxing lounge and breakfast room, with many options for sitting outdoors to take in the view. If possible, request the large/double room upstairs with balcony/decking area. Definitely order the breakfast. We also enjoyed the local restaurant a short walk away, set within the small, local marina. 
Only warning is the shared bathroom - but its huge and beautiful, and we found sharing no difficulty at all because its a small Villa.
