This is how you do a beach hotel.
Throughout the hotel and rooms is a gentle colour scheme of pastels in mainly blue and white tones.
The breakfast was almost entirely homemade with various bakes products. The best Rullepølse you could ever dream of. Eggs you boil yourself and monitor with a little egg timer you take to your table. They even managed to secure a supply of the latest cheese craze in Denmark, the Gammel Knas, which is an aged firm cheese with added salt crystals.  The lovely host team were filling up coffees at the table. As if you were visiting a Danish family. The hotel is a lovely walk away from the beach and the beach location is one of the best in Denmark for sunsets in the sea.

Excellent breakfast. Very attentative and helpful hosts, who really make you fell welcome. Staying at the hotel was therefore a nice experience. The hotel is close to the beach. Hence, you have the opportunity to take a walk along the North Sea (or a swim)

We go to Denmark predominantly for biking, but this time around just for a family outing.
Going from Southern Norway to Jutland is a piece of cake - you can go by fast ferry from both the town of Larvik and from further south Kristiansand. The trip takes less than four hours, but it’s a treacherous body of water and summerstorms may upset your plans, which it did for us.
We were at loss for alternative routings and explained the situation to the hotel where we should spend four nights. Albeit we overshot the deadline for cancellagions the good people and owners of Kallehavegaard Badehotel were extremely nice and emphatic.
That was the overture to what now became a three night stay, and the positive vibes were piling up during our stay.
The surroundings are fabulous, close to a fantastic beach close to 20 kilometers long, and centrally located in the sleepy town of Løkken.
We dined at three or four restaurants which all in all were nice, we had takeaway frikadeller (meatballs) directly from the bitchershop and within walking distance to most places.
A besutiful stay, with beautiful hosts and a lovely, windy weather.

While travelling North to reach Norway we stopped by Lokken for the night. The place is the perfect spot for summer vacation, but even if we were there at the end of September (on a gloomy day) we liked it very much.
The big plus is the breakfast! One of the best "Scandinavian breakfast I ever had! Very nice!

We loved it! The colors, The manager was so polite and helpful. Some things at the hotel is simple. But this is the type of hotel I love staying at. Not too big, and you get to meet the staff. And they are not to busy to talk with you. And the breakfast was amazing! I think the best part by staying here. We have already decided to travel back with my family next year. A real danish BADEHOTEL🐠

Just like a dream!

I recently spent two nights here. This badehotel is old and tired and in need of updating. Outdated furniture, bed too soft in my opinion, thin walls, draft coming through windows. The furniture in the room was stained and the towels I had were spotted as if they had had mold on them. Breakfast was good.....a standard danish breakfast. There is no tv or internet but that is part of the “brand”. I had a room with a sink and the toilet and shower were in the hall. I could hear people talking in the room next door and going in and out of the bathroom throughout the night. Ear plugs would have helped. The location of this hotel is excellent....near the town and near the beautiful beach. 

Tired hotel but still quaint

We stayed in this hotel 20th - 24th July during Danacup.  When we arrived in the hotel it seemed pleasent enough at the receiption area.  After checking in we followed the directions back outside and around the corner to our hotel room.  The hotel is on two floors and ours was on the second floor.  Upon entering the room we were immidiately dissappointed, the room was grubby and had thick cobwebs hanging down from the ceiling in a couple of places.  The furniture covers were stained and the wallpaper was in many places bubbling and peeling away from the wall.  There were stains on the wallpaper, most worryingly on the wall over the end of the bed (above pillow).  The worst though was the smell of sewage which gets stronger towards evening.  I tried to complain the next day but there is no management working at the hotel until the afternoons when typically we were out doing activities.  When I did get an opportunity to be around in the afternoon I was informed by the single employee on duty that they would tell a colleague about it.  I heard nothing more about it and the smell remained.  It was unfortunate as we had a nice time in the town of Løkken, there is lots to do and some lovely restaurants but after a days activity it is important to have somewhere to go back to a relax, this was one room that we could not relax in!  We therefore had to try and stay out in the evenings as long as possible and really only return to sleep.  The room had a balcony with a rotting wooden balustrade, the floor was dirty and the ashtray contained the last guests cigarette ends.  The framework around the windows was also falling apart and rust stains were spreading out from the hinges.  Our window was cracked across one corner and it looked like some attempt had been made to repair it as it was sort of foggy on the glass around the crack.  The gutter above the balcony had broken off halfway across so when it rained the water just poured off the roof onto the balcony forming a decent sized puddle!  We were at this hotel for 4 night, of which we only had hot water for showers for 2 mornings.  When I mentioned this to the single employee on duty in the mornings she commented that we were not the first to report it.  In the early hours of the first night as I lay wide awake (light poured into the rooms from the battered old venetian blinds that "sover" the window) I tried desperately to find alternative accommodation even knowing I would lose money but unfortunately due to the large football tournament there was nowhere to stay at such a late stage.  This is a hotel that requires a complete renovation and not just the paint cover up that seems to be applied all over the establishment (including spots of it on the carpets!), it also needs hotel management present to deal with issues.  I mailed the hotel on my return home listing the problems but 10 days later I still have not had a response.  I think if we had paid a budget hotel price it would have been expected but this was by no means cheap.  The management don't care about their guests I guess.  Stay away, book something else is my only advice.
