A very nice area not far from Esrum Lake and Fredensborg Castle with beautiful nature around it. Also a golf course is only a few minutes' drive away. In summer it is especially beautiful. The apartments have gotten a little old, but they are fine. The very nice owner told us that this is about to be renovated. We had an apartment on the first floor, with sofa corner what we found nice. We would love to come back to try it again.

Nice area.

This apartment is ideally located for those looking to visit the area... From there you can visit the different castles... the apartment is spacious, clean and you will find all the conveniences for cooking... you can go shopping not far away... there is a net nearby. For sunny days you can enjoy the beautiful terrace of the apartment.

A good place for a short stay

The apartment is located almost directly on the lake in the very beautiful Fredensborg. There - a few kilometres away - you can find everything you need. A car should be there, however. The room itself is spacious and offers everything you need. Outside is a small seating area, the whole complex is very green and beautifully planted. Copenhagen is about 30 minutes away, but also in the northern part of Zeeland there is enough to discover. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and especially at the time of arrival very flexible (we arrived overnight from Germany and could take over the room as early as 10 a.m.).

Perfect for a long weekend in two.

Lovely places. Very quite out in the country, backs onto a golf course.
Didn't meet the owner almost until the day we left! Good value!
A short walk to the fabulous ice cream and café which is owned by the same people....

Quite and clean!

The apartments are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Here we are in the countryside, so the car is essential. The sound insulation is not great with the apartments next door and the ones on the first floor. We should hope that the neighbors are peaceful. The beds are to be made on arrival.

Apartments in rural areas

Stayed here during summer last year. I recommend you have a car if you come here because it's the easiest way to get around. 

The location in Sørup directly south of Fredensborg where the apartment is situated is a perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding areas. We went to Hillerød which was great for shopping. It also has a beautiful castle that's definitely worth a visit and there is also a cute petit little ferry you can take over the lake surrounding it. 

I also want to recommend Esrum monastery that's situated to the north of Esrum Lake. It's a very beautiful and old monastery and it has a small museum as well as a nice herb garden. After you're done visitng the Monastery, I also recommend continuing up north to the coast for a little visit to Hornbæk. It's a nice seaside town which is great to have a little stroll in and look at what the small shops here and there has to offer. Down by the harbour you're sure to find some tasty seafood shops/restaurants as well.
We also took the car over to Helsingør where we parked it and took the train down for a visit to Copenhagen for a day. 

The apartment itself was located on the second floor. It felt fresh and clean and had all the amenities we needed. 
Esrum lake was within easy walking distance from the apartment, as well as an ice cream cafe with nice views over the lake. 
The owner of the apartments was such a lovely lady and we felt very welcome and we had a great stay.

Lovely appartment in a quiet and beautiful area.

The studio apartment had plenty of room and a small outdoor seating area. The bathroom was spacious compared to some we've seen recently on this holiday, unfortunately the hot water in the shower only lasted for about 3 minutes. The large double bed is 2 single beds pushed together and no double mattress on top. When they say payment is in DKK or EUR, they mean cash. All in all this was comfortable and convenient place to stay. 

Good option

Ideal for those who have decided to visit Denmark while travelling by car. In fact, you will live in a quiet cabin with all the amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen and free parking. While to Copenhagen 50km, to Elsinore - 10km, to Hillerod (the summer residence of the Queen) - 6km. Out of the minuses - the king-size bed actually turned out to be two sliding beds, moving on a slide. If you are a couple - take a runner to tie the legs of the beds :) We never got to intersect with the owners - we left our key to the cottages in the envelope, and the next morning we found a check-out with a check-in with cash in the envelope, by the way:)

A cozy farmhouse in Denmark

We stayed at Søåsegård Apartments for 4 nights. It is luxurious, modern, nice decorated, quiet located with well equiped kitchen, catered for everything we needed and more. The beds were extremely comfortable, unfortunately the linen were worn out with holes. But this was the only downside. The apartment also offers free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, relaxing sitting area, barbecue,…
This is a superb apartment for trevellars with a car and we highly recommend it.


Well equipped apartment for self-catering

The best part of these apartments is their location.On the shores of Lake Esrum, next to the town of Fredensborg and its beautiful castle (spring residence of the Danish royal family) and close to Copenhagen, a half-hour drive away, although you can also go by train and a few kilometers from other interesting tourist spots such as Helsingor and the Kronborg Castle (where the action of Hamlet is located), the Frederiksborg Castle, the northern coast of Zealand and its beautiful coastal towns...are an excellent way to get to know this part of Denmark.The apartments are correct, clean and well-groomed, with a nice and comfortable base furniture, although the furnishings are very scarce and the house is very quiet.The house has a nice garden and some terraced apartments.
