Restaurant a penzion U námořníka je podle mého soudu skvělý penzion s výbornou restaurací a super atmosférou.
Ubytování je na vysoké úrovni, mnohé větší hotely by se zde mohly učit. Ubytován jsem byl v prostorném a útulném pokoji s malou předsíňkou. Do pokoje se vešel i pracovní stůl a pohovka. Postel byla vybavena výbornou matrací. LCD televize byla umístěna tak aby ji šlo sledovat z postele.
Koupelna se sprchovým koutem byla též prostorná a opět vybavená vším co je potřeba. (Druhý pokoj byl vybaven dokonce přebalovacím pultem, papírovými plenami :-) ) Musím za sebe říci, že majitelé mají opravdu cit pro detail.
Restaurace má vlastní, nezaměnitelný styl. Jídelní lístek je tak akorát, tj. dokážete si vybrat, ale netrvá to hodiny než ho přečtete. Pokud jíte maso, za sebe mohu doporučit bifteky, které jsou zde vynikající. Ale samozřejmě neuděláte chybu když si dáte něco jiného.
Snídaně jsou podávány opět v restauraci, nejsou dělány stylem bufetu jako ve velkých hotelech, ale objednáváte si.

Restaurant and Pension "U námořníka" is, in my opinion, a great guesthouse with excellent restaurant and super atmosphere.
Accommodation is on high level, many larger hotels could learn here. I stayed in a spacious and cozy room with a small hall. A work desk and a sofa were included in the room. The bed was equipped with an excellent mattress. The LCD TV was placed so that it could be watched from the bed.
The bathroom with shower was also spacious and equipped with everything you need. (The second room was even equipped with a changing table, paper nappies :-)) I have to say for myself that the owners really have exceptional a sense of detail.
The restaurant has its own, unmistakable style. The menu is just right, you can choose, but it does not take hours to read it. If you eat meat, I can recommend steaks for you, which are excellent here. But of course you will not make a mistake if you give something else.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant again, not buffet style like in large hotels but you order.

Penzion a restauraces neopakovatelnou atmosférou /Guesthouse and restaurant with a unique atmosphere

Both the restaurant and the accommodation are far above the standard in the region. If you are looking for a cute & cosy weekend getaway in Hukvaldy I can totally recommend you to stay & eat at U Namornika. The rooms are really spacious (sofa bed and table with a chair included in every room) with comfortable and wide beds. And the food in the restaurant is truly delicious! If you are fed up with big cold hotels this B&B is an excellent choice!

In my tour to the mountains of Hukvaldy, Czech Republic we stop in U Namornika to get some lunch and some local beer, I cant talk about the Hotel because we only pass thru the restaurant for a couple of hours but l can tell you that they have the best grilled meat in the area, the best area to seat is around the grill if you not have a problem to get some smoke on you, avoid to go to the back patio, there was to much flies, that the manager need to do some thing about that, but is good restaurant with good service in a nice place

Good Plase to visit after walk in the Mountains

U Namořnika means At the Mariner's.  

I have often stayed at this wonderful penzion and enjoyed meals in the restaurant too.  The hosts are always welcoming and adaptable.  The rooms [there are only four so don't hang about if you want to book] are stylish. They are new with a slight sea-fairing theme and also capture the rustic setting of the village. The facilities are excellent and scrupulously maintained.

The restaurant prepares local meats on an open griddle. The range of meals on the menu is extensive.  All food is home-made and freshly prepared. The beer is excellent and there's good Moravian wine available too.

Hukvaldy is the birthplace of the world-renowned composer, Leoš Janáček and the little cottage he owned as a country retreat is open most of the year.  There are wonderful walks to be had in the nature reserve, the Bishop's Forest.

Heaven in the Beskyd Hills

We've been in the town to see the famous castle Hukvaldy, and then had dinner U Namornika. It is actually a restaurant with some hotel rooms but we didn't stay there, so cannot review the hotel part. The restaurant was lovely inside, staff friendly, menus are in English and German as well and the staff speak well enough to order food. They had a fireplace in the centre of the restaurant and actually cooked the steaks and skewers over it, it tasted increadible, juicy and delicious. We actually made a trip there again couple of days later just to eat at the place again. We ordered the young bull skweres with rosemary potatoes, young bull steaks and pork medalion skewers and all the meat was wonderful; we also each ordered a sauce with the meal, mushroom and blue cheese, they were lovely as well, and i had soup for starter. Everything tasted nice, one of the best meals ever really as the meats were so good. It was october so i had mulled red wine, there was a good choice of hot and cold drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. But too full to eat dessert so haven't had that.
