We needed to stay in the city for family reasons and we looked for something in the city centre to walk around. Late arrival small soup waiting for us to warm up parking space right in front...not very modern room in terms of decoration but large comfortable and functional. Only bemool a small shower (my husband is tough) but we were well installed it is very clean. Comfortable bed and small table and chairs to eat as well as two offices even where we could work. Full of restaurants in the vicinity but the restaurant in the hotel is fine they are lovely and there are restaurateurs it is perfect.

Well-located hotel with low-care staff

Stayed Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Check out time of 1100 was altered to 1500 for small extra payment. Restaurant and pool closed for "technical reasons".
This 14th Century building has been beautifully restored, furniture and decoration are good quality. Reception was helpful and efficient. Breakfast choice was good except for only one type of eggs (fried) available. Service on the Saturday was patchy with only one hard working staff member present, much better with two on the Sunday. Bathroom in our room was spotless and modern, with a bidet. The atrium, with real trees, was a nice surprise. 
The room information pack states breakfast is from 0630, in fact it is from 0700, Also in the information pack was an inventory listing how much guests will be charged in the event of damaged or missing items, I have never seen such a thing anywhere else in the world! Apart from that, and what I thought were hard pillows, the stay was very good. Our room faced the square, traffic passing through was very light, but as the road is cobbled the noise can be a problem for light sleepers.

Beautifully restored building!

We were disappointed that when we arrived on a very hot day we had been looking forward to a swim in the pool. However when we checked in we were told the pool was undergoing restoration work, along with the restaurant and bar. If I had known this I probably would not have booked it .

There is no air conditioning but not a problem as we were located on the back which happily was quiet as we had the windows open.

The hotel is clean and staff friendly but needs some TLC.

For tv fans we never got the tv show on to BBC or CNN.

What a pity

I stayed one night at this hotel with my wife and another couple of good old friends, booking based on the favourable hotel reviews on TripAdvisor, with the town equally praised in our guide book and well located for our 2-day car tour of Prague's surroundings. And we were all very happy! Our first impression was very positive as we found our name on the plastic box used to block a parking place for us, never seen that before anywhere! The hotel's location is just about perfect, at one end of Hradec Kralove's charming Old Town, and no traffic or other noise interfering with our sleep. Good-sized and comfortable guest rooms, a perfectly adequate dinner in the hotel's restaurant, also very good breakfast with e.g. scrambled eggs and bacon cooked on demand. And the price level is quite modest compared to many other parts of Europe, also considerably lower than in Prague. In all, wholly recommendable!

Pleasant hotel in a picturesque small town

A quiet, cozy place with excellent staff and service. A hotel with a swimming pool! A few minutes' walk from the restaurant with national cuisine. The rooms are spacious and cozy. Inside the hotel is a summer garden:). Breakfast included. They serve the best tiramisu.

That's great!

Unfortunately, the time has run out here. You have a problem with the heating. I had two rooms during my stay, as the first room did not allow the heating to turn down. In the second room this was fortunately only the case in the bathroom. You are renovating a floor. This is what the hotel needs. It is clean but unfortunately the facility is very dark and optically the state of the 70s or 80s. If you are in Hradec, you should stay here, as the situation already speaks for itself.

I'm afraid he's left something behind.

I spent two nights at the hotel. The room was in the back of the park. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning. So the window open at night means you have to deal with the noise. There is an elevator, you would still have to walk a few steps to the room. Breakfast was not overly luxurious, but good. Overall, I would say it was time for a renovation.

It's all right.

Firstly, the hotel is a real fortune. It's a pretty good four-star hotel with large and spacious rooms. The rooms are clean and the beds are not spread out. There's also a beautifully decorated courtyard. The location in the center of town is optimal for quick walking to good bars. The only weak point is breakfast. Despite the large selection, you're looking for a good sandwich in vain. Moreover, the air in the morning has turned a little too dark yellow. Bright colors or more lamps would do a good thing here.

Very good hotel in the old town

The rooms are very nice and clean as well as the indoor swimming pool. Overall it is a comfortable and pleasant place. The only bad news is the restaurant that I can't promote.
