No Lights in the room, all bulb were broken, bar close at 9:00pm and not be able to ask for drinks, no coffee, no water, I ask for the janitor and none came I had to fix the light myself, poor meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner, once I ask for more  food and they told me meat only once, in general this is the first and last time I book this hotel, street dogs inside the hotel once they were drinking water from the swimming pool

The worst hotel I have been to

The service at the hotel is terrible.  The lights in the room did not work, when we arrived the pool in the children's part was green (literally), and the entire recreation area was very dirty.  The lobby bar, Saturday night, closed at 9, there is no service offered at that time, they do not sell anything.  I do not recommend this hotel.

Terrible Service

To begin with the lousy rooms, with several molten bulbs, the showers don't get too hot, we reserve triple rooms and our double rooms, I think you can put a mini bar in the rooms because after 10 PM there is nothing to consume.The dinner and lunch are very poorly prepared.

Upon receiving your opinion we proceeded to the analysis with the staff of the areas you point out in your comment, in that analysis we all agreed on the impact that our work has on the fact that you have not felt satisfied with part of our service, that there is no reason why you should not be treated as well as is our practice, that no particular situation can generate unpleasant treatment in us, that we also feel that we count on our installation with personal experience, results in your performance through the years you have been feeling the opposite of us, that the conventions that we have made for our work have been met, that you can feel positive when you come back to the hotel and that we can feel positive when you come back to the hotel.

ANSWER to the OPINION OF JOSEPH 09, Oct. 2019

Don't know from where to start. At the check in, there was a lady in her mid 50's with a very bad attitude gave us a room in the lower floor which we said we did not like it. And the she gave us an upper floor but with her bad attitude. Rooms was just ok. Then at the pool bar you will meet with the bar-man , if I'm right I am pretty sure his name is Mario, what a bad attitude from this guy, if you ask for a scoop he says no, if you ask for a cup , he says no, if you ask him for anything he just turn his head from side to side, and don't even say a word, he shouldn't be working there or any place dealing with people. you will found the elevator which  is  full of garbage , papers, cigarettes, mold, and a very bad smell to dirty place " as it is".

Worst Place to Stay

The hotel opens its doors to the public for the use of the pool, for the payment of a minimum consumption, as a result of which the pool area is completely filled and the guests in practice cannot access the service or suffer the discomfort inherent in the excessive agglomeration and uncontrolled behavior of the visitors.

Service and place very perfect.

I was recently at the hotel and as we booked from the outside we asked in the reception what we should do and the response of the area boss who advocated for her exceptional and quickly gave us the keys to the rooms our reservation alone included breakfast no dinners but in the restaurant that professionalism we found in the reception no encounter the father of the little breakfast supply we are not able to suggest something better and treat you with great ignorance ask by the chef and never appear at all different from how that reception staff received us.

The unstable professionalism is unstable.

It is located at the entrance of the city, very modest, with long years of operation since the late 80s.Only a day's transit to Viñales.The best part is the pool area where there is a lot of personal competition.Regular customer service.The rooms must be remodeled and comfortable.

The city of Pinar del Rio is located at the entrance of the Vinales Valley and is very lively and colorful, with Spanish-era buildings alternating with colorful colonial houses.

Stayed here for 3 nights to bird watch in the area.  The only restaurant was within the hotel, the other was being renovated.  The food was alright, rice, beans and a choice of fish,shrimp, chicken, beef or pork.  Sometimes the pork was good, other times not as tasty, the shredded beef was always good.  Breakfast was OK, fruit, eggs & bread, remember this is rural Cuba not Havana or a resort!  It was quiet when we were there.  A small band played one evening.  The room was basic but clean and everything worked. Not many sockets.  Wifi was intermittent. Unfortunately, there was an issue the first morning when a water pipe broke but this was fixed whilst we were out.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.
