I stayed 5 days with my husband and we must say that the hotel seemed comfortable: the very well-preserved room with air conditioning, the bathroom with hot water, breakfast buffet (delightful coffee) the very attentive staff and two squares of Old Havana.

PS - Apparently There is NO WIFI in All Cuba - there is NO SIM Card to purchase for non-residence, so the only way you can connect is to buy a WIFI Card and search for a location which provides Internet/ WIFI To connect . Keep in mind that the card is Only for One hour - so you end up buying 4 - 5 Cards (4 - 5Hrs). The government restricts the Internet usage. 
To Sum Up, Booking this Hotel was a Good thing, financially and for safety as its only one block away from the main street and its close/walking distance to many sights.

Pros and Cons

The hotel is well located in the old harbour, perfect for visiting the city a few steps from the Capitol. Room 211 is very small and uncomfortable, the fridge was not working, the shower very narrow. Clean and quiet. Breakfast leaves to be desired.

It's the ugliest hotel I've ever seen, the staff are nice but the rooms are dirty and full of mold, my wife spent the night crying for discomfort.

One night

I'm not a very good person, but without exaggeration, it's the worst hotel I've ever visited. Population like everywhere from 16:00 The Russian chocolate brought in didn't help. Our main vacation was paid for by a package tour to Varadero, and the first time we decided to look at everything as much as possible. For this we booked a mid-priced hotel to go on excursions from Havana. 3 nights with breakfast cost us 8 a room. We had three rooms on the first floor, all the same disgusting.

This is the worst hotel I've ever been to.

The rooms are fine and the continental breakfast abundant on the terrace on the top floor of the hotel overlooking the harbor and the capitol. Unfortunately, the lobby was undergoing renovations which looked bad at the time of departure as it was full of shallow floors and dirt and no furniture. I recognize that it was getting bright and beautiful for the coming Christmas. The water for 3 days was cold as it was in the gas tank as we were told. I think that as the hotels are in the state of these conditions we should relocate to a restaurant prepared as tourism deserves.

Hotel very well located, in December/19 of reforms.

During the stay the hotel was under construction, so the reception was a little uncomfortable with dust and so on...For the price it has it is acceptable to give you a shower and sleep.A reasonable breakfast, when we booked it I thought it was a buffet type and only we were served a continental type breakfast.They could not give a solution when there was a blackout in the neighborhood and we ran out of hot water.You can go to the sights of old Havana.

Hotel Lido is in transition.

We return to this hotel after a few months. We are greeted at the reception with warmth and kindness. The room is decent. Breakfast is scarce. Cleanliness is not their strong point, cigarette butts on the floor. Great for a few days but you have to close your eyes and nose.

Just for one night.

The hotel brought us together plus the good food the waiter will never forget us and told us that we were a good couple. we will get married and have children back in Havana.

No is a large hotel, the small bathroom especially the shower, but with hot water, basic food in the restaurant, good views and a cool place on the roof.
