What about Cuba? beautiful, charming, romantic, sweet. This hotel in front of the harbor is cozy and the rooms are large and well-maintained. You wake up and you look out on the balcony that leads to the harbor. And a mosquito as an aperitif at sunset

Cuba always at its maximum

You definitely get what you pay for here which is not much. When I first got there, the bellboy tried to rip me off and give me a much smaller room than the one I actually booked. After I pulled up my booking receipt then he "suddenly" had an open bigger room. The rooms are dark and decrepit. I saw every type of creature in that room: spiders, flies, ants, roaches in the bathtub, and even a lizard. Also, the sheets and pillows were super dirty and dusty. Then to top it all off, at the end of my stay, they charged me for everything in the mini bar whether I opened it or not. They never mentioned this policy at any point during my stay. If you want a clean room do not book here.

Our server Rene was very welcoming and gracious.. His recommendation of the lobster paella was amazing. The outdoor patio was romantic and spacious. Hope to see you again soon Rene your friends from Napa California.

Love the paella..!!

I just visited Cuba last week for the first time. The staff was friendly and super helpful. We were very centrally located close to all of the shops, post office, place to exchange money, and a few main plaza's. Plenty to do! The travel agency directly across the street, can help you coordinate excursions, trips to Varadero beach, and tickets to go to the Tropicana Cabaret. Breakfast was included in our rate and was delicious every day. No wifi on property, but they mentioned it was coming soon.

First time in Cuba

We were very disappointed that we booked this hotel but when we arrived it is not where we stayed. Where we stayed was in the Hostel Valencia which is part of the hotel at the rear and we paid way to much money to stay here, considering we moved another hotel later on in our trip for the same price and it was a totally different experiance. 
We did expect much from the accommodation in Cuba and enjoyed ( after the initial shock) the old world feel of the Hostel and the location. However, the sewage smell for the drains in the bathroom is quite overwhelming and the rooms are so old they are damp and very musty. Sometimes you have water and other times you didn't. The mattresses had plastic protectors on them when was a bit of a worry wondering what was under it and some of the staff were friendly and others were quite rude and not helpful at all. I would not worry about having breakfast in the hotel, the food is terrible compared to the lovely places we found after a few days. I am not sure why the food quality is so bad when you do work out there is nice food in Havana, partially when we paid the price we did to stay here. I must also mention the streets are cobblestone outside and it is very noisy as you are close the plaza and all the activity

old world

The hotel is constructed in an old large family home. The rooms are nice with very high ceiling and beautiful interior. The restaurants are nice and there is nice patio. The hotel is situated in the Old Havana with lots of restaurants and bars close by. The service was excellent

Beautiful old building

The main advantage of this hotel is its location! The streets of Old Havana instantly make anyone fall in love with themselves. The hotel itself is small and cozy. The rooms are clean, the service is non-obtrusive, the tea rooms are welcome. There are many sights, malls, various restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

It's probably not exactly a boutique hotel, but it's a decent hotel, conveniently located in an interesting restored promenade area of old Havana.

It's a good hotel.

In the corner of the hotel there is a good and quite cosy outdoor restaurant where they serve nice and good food with prices which are quite okay. They serve fast and especially the drink when you need then - and you need them in the heat. The waitresses are friendly, english speaking and quite fast.
