Od října 2017 jsou všichni majitelé kvadrokoptér a dalších bezpilotních vzdušných prostředků (dronů) povinni zaregistrovat svá zařízení u Národní televizní a rozhlasové komise Thajska (NBTC). V případě porušení řádu stanoví thajské právo trest ve výši až pěti let vězení nebo pokutu až 100 000 bahtů (asi 3000 USD). Hotely v Thajsku mohou účtovat povinné poplatky za gala večeře.
