President Rodrigo Duterte announced on March 12 that the Department of Health has raised the Alert Level for the COVID-19 to Alert Level 4 Code Red Sub-Level 2, the whole of Metro Manila has been put on community quarantine which means that land, domestic air, and domestic sea travel to and from Metro Manila is not allowed during the period of March 15 12:00 to April 14 23:59.
