Apartments Petrali

We have just returned from 8 nights at the Petrali apartments in Mlini and I have to say that it was the icing on the cake. Mlini itself is, to us, the perfect location for a holiday - close enough to visit Dubrovnik and Cavtat by regular boat service - not too noisy but with enough going on to please nearly everyone. As for the apartments, we stayed in the 2+2 and it just blew us away. A traditional building with a slightly rustic feel and a slightly quirky feature and everything you need, complimented by a wonderful host. The bedroom has aircon and an en-suite shower room and you can open the doors to a terrace with a wonderful view over citrus trees of the Adriatic. The living room has a sofa bed and satellite tv (though we did not use it since the evenings were too perfect not to sit on the terrace enjoying the view and the relative quiet after spending many hours swimming in crystal clear waters) abx its iwn en-suite shower room. The kitchen is separated from the living area but just a few steps away. It has all you need for self-catering requirements including a fridge with freezing compartment. Outside the kitchen/living room is an enormous patio area with two seating areas so no matter where the sun is you are guaranteed a shaded area. Petar, the owner, could not be more helpful. Not only did he collect us from the airport and drive us back for our return flight but he also drove us to the supermarket and offered to assist with the shopping in case we could not translate the croatian into English. He is multi-lingual as well in at least half a dozen languages. Mlini takes its name from the several mills that used to exist there. Petar has the last remaining one in his grounds and showed us around it then He and his wife treated us to home made chocolate cake and a glass of Chablis on their own terrace. The apartment is a 2-3 minute walk down a slope from the beach and promenade. I cannot speak too highly of the Petrali or the host. Would recommend it to anyone.
