We loved this Villa! Clean,great view to the sea,nice crew,comfortable beds,big tv,great food,big bathtub. This villa is very good for relax and get calm in here! Thank you Villa Aurora! New stuff,new machines the whole villa is great! 

Nice small hotel,with splendid Breakfast Buffet ..lot of everything.Staff is nice AND helpful.In this time of year problem with parking,LIKE EVERYWHERE NEAR TO THE BEACH.Anyway,nice place to spand a weekend.We will visit YOU again...........

We got a really good deal for room with breakfast in this time (august 2023). The hotel is clean , room was big, bed was comfortable….I was missing a hairdryer. 
Breakfast was OK (if you are not picky to much) with a good view on the sea (terrace) ,
The staff is kind and friendly.

We stayed here begin of September and the price was very good. We got the upper room with a huge terrasse and a great sea view. And it was a lot of space.
The bathroom was a little small but ok.

The employees were very polite and at the reception everything was done for us.

The apartment is not new, but for the price we give 4 stars.

We had a last minute reservation and it was good luck that the chief offered us so called "president apartment" with a large terrace and gorgeous view. The apartment is far away from "president", needs new mattresses and some other updates, but it is very nice and clean family apartment for a family of 4, 5 or 6 with two bedrooms + living room, separate toilet, separate shower room and of course great terrace. Friendly stuff felt us welcome every time.

It's a good hotel, though I shouldn't dare say that it's a very good one. The bed comfort is what really makes it be considered good. That comfort derives mainly from the mattress, whose toughness is the adequate one for a good rest and shuns the possibility of getting a backache. Besides the rooms are apparently soundproof so that hardly any noise is heard from inside the building.
As far as the hotel location is concerned, it may likewise be considered good insofar as one enjoys a fantastic view over the village bay from the hotel restaurant terrace and from the pertinent room windows. On the other hand however, the hotel finds itself on a hill slope, very far from the beach. Therefore, every time one wants to bathe in the sea, he needs to walk a long distance down the hill. The worse is nevertheless the way back to the hotel for which one is compelled to climb up the slanting hill up to the hotel, which is very distressing, as it can be imagined, particularly on sunny and hot days.
The staff members are kind and helpful. They helped me to carry the heaviest part of the luggage from my car to the room and viceversa on the days of my arrival and departure, respectively. Notwithstanding that, upon my check out the lady at the front desk tried to charge me an amount higher than the price really owed by applying a wrong rate of exchange. This practice or similar ones are rather common, by the way, in Croatian businesses operating in the tourist sector. Therefore, one ought to be aware, and before paying a bill at a hotel or a restaurant in Croatia, it's advisable to peruse it very carefully.
The breakfast is good. Apart from the fact that there is not much variety as far as fruit is concerned, it's abundant, and the food offered for that meal is of a good quality. It's also possible to have dinner at the hotel for an extra amount of 10 euros. I also had that meal on every one of the three days which lasted my stay there. Albeit the food concerned is nothing extraordinary, it may help one in case, for instance, he doesn't wish to walk all the way up to the hotel with full stomach.
It's rather clean inside although, due to the fact that the hotel needs a renovation, some parts thereof do not look like.
I asked for a kettle but unfortunately they hadn't enough devices for me to have it. They couldn't either provide me with a table lamp in order to read at the desk. Instead, they took off the screen of one of the bedside table lamps. Of course the result is not so good as that got by means of a table lamp.
There is a garage there which is free of charge. Even though it's not very big, a lot of cars can be parked in it.
Judging by the hotel characteristics as per the foregoing, one may hold that its quite expensive. The three day stay, dinner included, const me 3.051 kunas (414,14 euros). I don't think that I may recommend that hotel.

Stunning view but flaws are unfortunately present

Had I stayed only for the first 4 days of my complete stay here, or had the whole week been as the first 4 days, my review would have been completely different from the one I'm about to write. The overall rating would have been 4 stars, its only downside the beach distance and the lack of parking space.

So let's start with the first 4 days that were excellent. The hotel is very cute, small, about 20 or so rooms. The hotel staff was very nice and polite. All rooms have A/C and wi-fi. The rooms are very well equiped, very spacious and clean (in the beginning). The breakfast is a buffet, a very wide, good and healthy selection. The dinner which we paid extra each day (you can choose each day whether to have dinner there or not) is very good, three courses without drinks for the price of around 10 euros. The hotel garden in which the dinner takes place is very nice, quiet and quite beautiful.

It's mostly a family hotel with lots of families with kids and couples but it's a nice atmosphere and after a couple of days you feel like you know them all. 

The only downside to this hotel is the beach distance and the centre of Crikvenica. If you're by car, then it's no problem, 5-10 minutes drive. But if you're by foot, given that Crikvenica is on a hill, you have a lot of walking, a lot of stairs, which can be exhausting after a whole day on the beach. Or if you're going to town in heels. But again, even by foot, the beach is 10-15 minutes away and so is the centre of Crikvenica. And it's a great exercise! The other downside is the lack of parking space at the hotel.

Now, the part that explains the title. After 4 days staying at this hotel, my friend discovered she's missing a small amount of money from her wallet she kept in the our hotel room wardrobe. She reported it at the reception and while they guaranteed for the hotel maids, they said they would look in to it and have the hotel manager come by that night for her to talk to him. That day after we returned from the beach, we noticed the maids didn't clean our hotel room. We thought it's maybe because we stayed in the room longer that morning so they didn't want to bother us. The next day, after being out all day, we came back to the room and discovered that again our room wasn't cleaned. Dirty towels were on the bathroom floor, toilet paper almost gone, trash bins full, beds weren't made and the floor was still covered in sand (the nearest beaches are the sandy ones so you can't avoid bringing some sand with you to the room). We went to the reception to complain about that and were met by a rude man for which only assume is the manager because he didn't introduce himself to us. He immediately said 'no problem' and instructed the receptionist to bring us clean towels. The rest of our complaint and our request for them to talk to the maids was left unheard. The next day, third day, unfortunately the same thing happened. The room was still not cleaned. After I went down to the reception to complain again, another receptionist asked me was it maybe room 9 (which in fact was my room number). After I confirmed and asked how she guessed, she answered that she received a note that morning that the maids were very upset with the accusation of them steeling the money and that they are extremely insulted and refuse to clean our room for the rest of our stay. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not only did the maids refuse to do their jobs but the hotel staff and management decided to tolerate that for three days and didn't even offered themselves to clean our room. I told the receptionist (who was very nice and apologetic) my complaints, my shock and how offended I was by the whole situation. She only gave us clean towels and took the dirty ones. 

The next day, we checked out as planned and repeated our complaints. We received an apology but no refund or discount. We paid the full price for a service we didn't receive. At this point I wish to stress out we didn't plan on having a 'free vacation' or cause trouble just to get a discount. We were perfectly happy to pay the full price for the FULL service if we had received it. 

I have never been this treated and insulted in my whole life in any hotel or vacation rental anywhere in the world. 

I cannot believe the hotel's staff and management behaviour towards us, in the peak of the tourist season, in a hotel on the Adriatic coast.

I will not be staying in this hotel ever again and I DO NOT recommend anybody staying at this hotel.
