San José  Sportsmen Lodge is a safe, clean hotel with delicious food and beautiful Latinas. Theres different type rooms and sizes. With the exception of the occasional noisy trains, it's OK. I've visited here several times and like it. The staff are friendly & bilingual.

Sportsmen Lodge Visit

Decent bar area but only allowing 50% capacity right now. During the day it’s pretty slow and boring and the same girls usually each day. At night around 4/5pm it gets busier and sometimes there is a line for females outside so it’s nice to stand and chat , even some willing to deal so they don’t have to stand there anymore!!
Decent prices too! Didn’t try the food

I been to San Jose 45 ..most of my trips range from 4 to 8 nights and many of those trips are at the sportsmen...Bill runs a excellent hotel and bar/restaurant

.price is fair ..tv"s always on point for what is going on in the sports world ....I have many great stories to share ...my crew and I will be staying the week of March 18th ..March madness ...of course 

Coming back to my favorite place 

This place is low class..:the website and other reviews give it a false perception.   I didn’t actually stay there...we checked in to the Penthouse suite and was already checking out 20 minutes later.  The entire place is dated needs an upgrade and just seemed sketchy.   

Buyer beware...

It is what it is; Food is at the worst in its history--cook does not know what he is doing. Had 3 "dinners" there- 1 was a BLT= bacon OVERCOOKED- broke into 100 pieces served on  a thin  baguette -one leaf of old Romain lettuce-2 thin slices of unripe tomato y thousand island dressing. 2nd was spaghetti bolanaise- fine= except fresh tomato added skin was not removed. 3rd was pork tenderloin-- cut into uneven cubes cooked to death-dry /chewy-- rice was under cooked -- crunchy- veggies served included 3 cherry tomatoes --hot puss sacks with chewy skin.= also had the plate of the day--again meat over cooked == eat somewhere else if you can.Front desk could not change money  for over 3 hours!!

Pride in their food ???=Half assed at best!!!Time takes its toll-

I come to San Jose allot. Monthly, I always enjoy this hotel. They have several types of rooms price range 65 to 250 a night. Different rooms have different views and are positioned  in a few areas through the hotel.  The hotel has great food bar open daily from 8.30 to 12 pm.  Always have sports entertainment, and working girls arrive daily from 11 till 8 or 9 at night. They have allot of beautiful working girls on Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday nights. Good music and good atmosphere.  The showers have good water pressure, and hot water, every room has air condition , 24 hour on sight security. Solo male travel won’t be let down try this place. Fun hotel for the single male looking for a few nights of fun in San Jose.

Fun time in sanjose

I went to Sportsmen's Lodge a couple months back as my dad wanted to show me around his spots, with this being one of them. Looking back now, I know why my dad likes traveling to Costa Rica haha! But this place is great overall, as it has lodging, food, drinks, and you can mingle with local life in the bar. It's a great experience for anyone coming down to Costa Rica for the first time!

Great to bring with friends!

A small row of buildings forming a safe haven for tourist men to hook up with older local women.  Perfect for the newly single lonely mature man(not me). The cheapest rooms are in the original building and are right in the lounge.  These rooms are noisy, but the lounge closes at midnight.  The Lodge is just a few blocks from central avenue, but after dark, the deserted streets give the appearance of being unsafe, so most tourists stay in at night.   

For Lonely Men

Stayed here a couple nights before leaving for La Fortuna. The room was comfortable and the bar/restaurant fun and lively. It’s located in a very safe area and a 5 minute walk to the central entertainment center. Returning in February 2019

I have stayed here many times over the last few years. I have to honestly say this December,  the talent and beauty of the working girls was by far the best I ever seen.  Thursday nights seem to be the most active, the amount of women and there looks was great. If you are a single, male traveler, you must give this hotel a visit. The rooms are nice, and priced very reasonable. You can stay for 70 to 150 a night depending on the roo. Great friendly staff, security is great and the food is great. Over all the working girls averaged  80 to 100 price wise. There are plenty of women aged from 19 to 30 beautiful, friendly and great time.   Defiantly recommend this to any male traveler who wants a friend for the evening or a companion for a few days. Thumbs up to the sportsman’s lodge.
