Very well located hotel certainly a bit noisy but in the center so normal... clean and adapted room. fortunately there is air conditioning c is vital... the staff is just perfectly listening, helping and very smiling... the little plus: a free entrance to the spas for every night spent in the establishment

All right, all right.

The staff made the stay at the hotel. They were friendly and helpful. Before we left we ended up with ear piercings, massages, our laundry done and a ride to our next hotel. The owner was available at pretty much a moments notice.  We had a delicious breakfast across the street, included in the stay. We would definitely come back here.

For a Fun and Friendly Stay

I was lucky to book 2 nights last minute during the Christmas/New Year's rush. My room was clean, cozy and cute...perfect for a single female traveler. The location is safe and the proximity to everything you'd need is easily walkable. I loved being able to get a ride to the Thermal springs one day, and Arenal Park the next by the hospitable hosts. I felt pampered and genuinely looked after concerning making my stay pleasant and stress-free. I did have to purchase a plug-in adapter at the local grocery store to be able to charge my phone. The TV had the only USB port, and it wouldn't charge my phone above 35%. The linen for bathroom and beds could be upgraded for a more luxurious feel...however IMPO cleanliness and friendliness are my top priorities when choosing accommodations.  I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great experience

Only reason to stay is the location. Walkable to all restaurants in LA Fortuna.  Place was relatively clean, but wish they changed the towels. Towels were rough and stained from years of use. You can also hear street noise with all doors and windows closed, so bring ear plugs. The plumbing is  in need of repair. The shower drains really slowly and the toilet clogged a few times.

Stay elsewhere 

Simple clean rooms in the center of town. Jovani from the desk, helped us to understand our options of activities in the area. And we enjoyed very much after following his recommendations. This place fitted our needs in all levels. Thank you!

Central, clean and friendly helpful staff

The downside is the parking lot, which is super uncomfortable and there is a latent risk that you will hit a car or that your car will be hit (one day I saw it, I don't know if they told the owner).Besides this, we had to wait several hours at various times for other guests to come out in order to get us out, as the cars were all pressed (like tetris) even one day they told us that anything was going to wake us up to move the car if someone was busy leaving, this is something that as a customer I never imagined I could hear.

Good location, small park.

Don’t let past reviews scare you away from this place. Either the people writing them had exaggerated things or this property has had a major transformation... or some combination of both. We had a short stay but good price and awesome staff especially Yuane who we dealt with primarily. He was helpful, charismatic, and spoke English fluently. Room was clean, AC worked well. Location was great for proximity to town. Off site thermal amenity was awesome with warm, hot, and cool pools. Access is free with room. Breakfast was excellent and is also included. If you use both of these perks the price is extremely reasonable. If we return we will be staying here again!

This hotel went above and beyond our expectations. It is not luxurious, it was simple and just what we were looking for. We originally rented a room at a luxurious resort called Miradas Arenal Hotel -- it was awful, so bad we left in the middle of the night and our new friend Derek (who owns Hotel Fas) bailed us out, made us feel safe and comfortable and even planned excisions for us. My mother and I were on a vacation for her retirement and we made good friends with Derek and couldn't have been happier we stayed at his hotel. Its close to town, laundry was on site, it was $50/night and he made us feel like family. We would 100% recommend staying here if you just need a safe, quiet place to rest your head. Above and beyond!

We were here this weekend and the experience here was horrible, since we arrived in the park when our car crashed and the manager glittered because of his absence, at night when the cars were not accommodated and even the security of the open gate, after this at check-out time a worker stopped at the door of the room and started offending and saying but there was a karma, the turn would sell , that we were scammers, among other things, considering that no guests deserved treatment, much less the opinion of someone who was not even involved in the accident and very much displeased that the manager allowed a lack of education..... clearly the reputation of the win itself, you should have a better place to teach the customer service to the rules of education was worse than the rest of the world, and you can't pass a review of your car, and you can't pass a review of the rest of the world for the same reason.

It was a horrible experience.

My wife, son and mother-in-law went to Baldi hot springs and we stayed at Fas.  Accommodations were tight but comfy enough for an overnight stay with A/C and breakfast included.   Everything would have been fine, except for another guest backing their car into my mother-in-law’s vehicle because of the extremely tight and unorganized parking lot.  We agreed to a cash arrangement with the other guests avoiding having to report the incident to our respective insurance companies as the gentlemen were from Sweden.  Despite the headache and stress, all was agreed to and taken care of between us.  All tolerable, until the  groundskeeper decided to poke his nose where it didn’t belong as he barged in to our room as we were packing to check-out and proceeded to scold us about the amount of remuneration we were given by the young men that backed into our car, causing serios cosmetic damage to the rear bumper.   He was extremely rude and his comments were not only unnecessary but obnoxious as well.  I would not recommend staying at this hotel, as there are many other comparably priced ones in the area.  Usually “ticos” are much more polite when treating their guests, but this guy has major issues with how he speaks to people paying his hotel’s higher priced rates... A total jerk and he should be fired for being rude to the guests!
