Hotel Del Parque

We went when the flowers in some pictures were not blooming, but it was still lush and green, and a good break from the city activity. Go early to avoid the crowds, and leave early too before the line to exit becomes too long. We'll go back, but when the kid is older and we can walk the trails. The view from the metrocable of the park was nice. There was a couple of food stands, one that served grilled mushrooms but the wait was long. (They also served a mushroom beer, and a couple of other microbrews in bottle from a nearby town.) Wish we could have walked the nature trails but couldn't because we had our baby and stroller along. Getting there in the metrocable was fine, even with the stroller, but at the park you can only take the stroller along the paved paths, and the nature trails were not paved even partially. The is a walk that is a couple of miles long to the backside of the park where there is a waterfall, and that can be done with the stroller, but you are also walking on the sides of the road with traffic whizzing by in both directions.
