Yu Wen Quan Spring Resort

From the moment you arrive it is difficult not to be impressed with the cleanliness of the room and resort.  The springs are extremely well maintained and available 24 hours a day.  The food in the evening buffet was  varied, of good quality and well cooked to order. The master chef, Lo Kwok Piu was in attendance and ensured that everything was in order. The following morning we had a Chinese massage and followed the hour with an oil massage and it was both excellent value and very therapeutic.
All in all an excellent short trip with first class food and facilities.

Super wonderful staff and service. They cater to you from the time you leave your vehicle, until you are in your room. Super dinner service with wonderful entertainment!!! The outdoor hot spring will have you feel fresh and new. If you looking for a place to spoil you, this is the place. 

I travelled here with 5 friends and none of us have good Mandarin. The shuttle bus was brilliant adn thankfully waited patiently for us as we got our visas on entry. I would advise against this.

The hotel check in was very smooth and they had an English speaking staff member to help us. The room was clean and great for its purpose. The surrounding activities were great and the overall atmosphere was one of friendliness and togetherness.

The spa itself was brilliant; the massages were decent enough; the food was out of this world. The head chef Nicolaus was very friendly and explained things to us. The manager also assisted when we were uncertain of things due to the language.

I cannot believe this is so close to Hong Kong and I am already planning my next trip.

I will certainly be returning here often.

Our family just spent 2 nights last weekend at the above resort and loved it. Many mums asked me about the info so I thought I will share this note here. Any question, I am happy to help (if I can).

To get there: Gong bei exit, turn left (do not go down the escalator), there is a bus station with many different buses waiting. There will be a girl in a white skirt (their uniform) waiting with a Chinese sign and pining :"YU WEN QUAN". There are 4 free shuttle buses daily from Gongbei at 11:15; 14:15; 16:15 and 17:15. The bus is super comfortable. The trip is 60-70 minutes ride. Its beautiful scenery up the mountain of Zhongshan province.

We stayed at the Japanese type room where there is no bed, just 5 mattresses on wooden floor. Kids love it. We are ok for 2 night but if you want a good night sleep, normal bed rooms might be a better option.
The hot spring provides great services, the staff are every where. If you walk around with out a towel, they might run after you to give you one on your shoulder. 

The air on mountain is clean, cold (7-8oC), but its very pleasant. The water in the pool is 41oC and the steam warm up the whole place. Many flavors pools : wine, coffee, wood, tea… to choose from.
THere are 2 breakfast choices Chinese and Western buffets.

Opposite the resort is a bike rental place where you rent a bike (tandem bikes also available) to ride to Doumei old town. We didn't do it this time but might try next trip.

In general, it was a grew short getaway from Macau for the whole family. Very relaxing, stress free trip.

This is my second time to visit this resort.  It is bigger than before.  The resort looks Japanese style and the room is clean and comfortable.
Of course, you can enjoy the hot spring any time.  It is not my key point to stay there.  The major attraction is the grand buffet, which takes me four hours to walk, play, and eat different kinds of delicious cuisine.  You should be careful to select the quantity that makes you full before the end of the food street.  

We crossed over from Macau, appreciate the complimentary 1hr shuttle bus ride from Gongbei border. After crossing the Macau-Zhuhai customs, turn Left towards the bus bay. The bus bay is just in front of the train station exit A and there will be staff there to guide you. Having stayed in japan ryokan / hot spring resort, you will definitely notice that this place is quite man made and trying hard to replicate traditional Japanese elements in their rooms & overall concept. Nevertheless, I find the resort relaxing as it is a self contained place to recharge. The rooms are spacious and hotspring & buffet meals were accessible using our thumbprint. They also gave complimentary fireworks and bicycle ride.

This is the same resort as Zhuhai Imperial Hot Spring Resort with different name. Yu Hotspring Resort is probably translated from the Chinese name "珠海御溫泉度假村".

It is located approx. 70 min by car from Zhuhai downtown.  The room costs around RMB $1200/person including spa (24 hrs), transport, breakfast and dinner. The check in and out was smooth and service was very good. The porter helped us with our luggage. We stayed at a tatami room and found it very relaxing. The room is a decent size for up to 3-4 people.  The breakfast had good selection and taste good. The best is the buffet dinner with live music, so many selections and food is very authentic and tasty.  The hot spring is 24hrs and they will scan your fingerprint for multi-entries. The hot spa area is not that big with approx. 30 individual pools with free teas/water and towels available.  There were many people there during the daytime.  We like the decor (Japanese style) and we took a lot of beautiful pictures.  There was a cow & donkey where you can hand feed them.  Also, you can play with fireworks at the basketball court at night. The game center at night with many traditional games were fun.

I would have given 5 stars but it is not a natural hot spring resort so only 4 stars.  But I definitely recommend this place for a great family fun holiday.

Remember : No tips is required for any service in this resort.

Not sure if it is real hotspring. There are way to many people and the hotapring is a bit stinky.
However , the room were great and it is suitable for family and it is always great to gather with a few friends.
