6 reviewsAlso known as the "Paul Intercontinental Hotel", this newly opened property would easily compete with many of the western brand hotel outlets in China. I've stayed here on a few occasions, and like almost every hotel in China the rooms vary based on where they are on each floor; so far, rooms ending in 18 and 10 have been the best, much roomier and include a bathroom with a tub and shower, whereas some of the other rooms have just a shower. There are two good restaurants on site, Chinese and "western", both are pretty good, which is good, as there are few other options within a reasonable walking distance. The rooms themselves are well equipped, the beds are very soft and comfortable (those who travel to China frequently will know the beds in most non-western hotels tend to be medium firm to downright hard), there are computers in almost all of the rooms, a wifi access point and router dedicated to each room (never had any connection issues at all), and all but one time I have been here I have found the minibar stocked full. I will definitely be back here the next time my travels take me to Shengzhou.
