I believe one would come to this area for the old Water Town called Luzhen. Very few Western tourists, but that’s part of the fun. If you find yourself in that neck of the woods, then this Hotel is not a bad place to stay. It’s mainly for the Chinese visitor, but quite ok for Westerners. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is spotless. It’s a straight 4 star Hotel trying to be a 5 star one. Bedding is luxuriously soft. Breakfast is more than fine. No swimming pool or sauna but there is a small gym with a half dozen machines in good shape. The new Lantian Shopping Mall is directly across the street with Starbucks, restaurants, shops etc. So, for 500 rmb per room during a holiday weekend, it served its purpose just fine. (Safe, clean, Central) I imagine it’s slightly less during normal days?
