Golden Villa Club

Our 10 day stay here was very pleasant. All that you can see from the road is the antique-style archway with posted guards. This is where our taxi would pick us up or drop us off. (However, to drive into the premises to unload your luggage, there is a vehicle entrance around back that is rather difficult to find). But from the archway, it was about a 100 yard walk to the main office which was a beautiful castle-style building. There were weddings at the hotel almost every night because of the unique environment. Horseback riding, lake, and animal pen on site. The included Chinese breakfast buffet was good; bacon and eggs by request only. Try the hot soy milk. Typical hard Chinese beds. Rooster crowing each morning was a plus! Free internet a plus; no special cables needed for your laptop. No shampoo or soap provided. Not a 5-star, but this hotel will add good memories to your trip.
