55 reviewsI can only speak for our room which as well as being excellently placed within the hotel was excellent. It were as though we were in our own apartment with a door to our own little terrace and the entrance itself being outside - but covered - and right next to a delightful large terrace for all hotel guests. Furthermore, just inside the hotel from our room a lovely library tea room with unlimited tea and bits available as well as a bar. The staff were great and my heart goes out to the lovely lady who runs the dining room where we took breakfast. She was wonderful while the female chef while we were there could not have been more accommodating. The hotel and its location isn't inspiring but this did not detract from our three night stay. It's about as convenient as possible for wandering in to town (it's in it) and what a great place to stroll and EAT. The hotel situated tourist desk driver was our guide and driver for two days doing the 47km river Li trip, the long haired ladies settlement and those wonderful mountain rice fields. His knowledge and connections were invaluable as you will discover if you tread the same route. Bloody wonderful time and I'll do it all again if I can.
