My family of 4 stayed in the house accommodation at Casa Los Duendes for 4 nights. The host is extremely helpful, courteous and super responsive to your needs. The house where we stayed in was sparkling clean with spacious rooms including a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom. There were several beds in 3 bedrooms and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were quiet and the complimentary WiFi worked very well. We couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation in San Pedro De Atacama. It is a few minutes walk from the Main Street. Pricing was extremely reasonable. Cash payment is the only form of accepted payment but no issues with that. Overall this accommodation felt like a gem of an oasis in the desert. I would certainly very highly recommend staying at this accommodation to any traveler visiting San Pedro De Atacama and to especially those who are on a budget. 

A gem of an oasis in the desert

Verónica, the caretaker, was very kind and helped us with several things. the hotel is small and is two blocks from downtown. although the street is dark, there was a flashlight in the room to go out at night. there is also available tea and coffee. the room is very comfortable and has a few chairs outside to rest and read outdoors. highly recommended!

 Ideal for resting.

The accommodation is located on a street without light and asphalt (almost all the streets of San Pedro de Atacama are earthen), the room was quite nice, had a kitchen that was shared with another room. Veronica, the person in charge of the facilities deserves a 10, always willing to help you with whatever you need, of course a charm of a person who supplies a little of the shortages of accommodation.

Accommodation separated from noise.

Hotel is hard to find as it is down a dusty alley, just call and Fabiola will guide you in, and once you find it, it is an oasis in SPdA.  It's also a working farm with 24 sheep and 3 dogs... this actually makes the place more peaceful.  We had a large triple room with a queen bed and twin bunk beds that were clean and comfortable.  Small shower stall with a clingy shower curtain but it is fully functional with good pressure and plenty of hot water.  It's about a 5 - 8 minute walk to any point in busy/touristy SPdA.  This makes this hotel close but yet out of the hustle and bustle.  From the patio or hammock you have views of two volcanoes (partially obstructed by cell towers) but these towers also give you great wifi.  Fabiola is quite pleasant and helpful. Free parking in a secure walled compound.

Wonderful place to rest in busy/touristy SPdA... very helpful staff

We spent several nights in San Pedro de Atacama, at Casa Los Duendes and were really satisfied. Very clean room, with comfortable beds and the possibility of using a shared kitchen and a barbecue. The location is perfect: two steps from the center of Atacama, in a quiet and isolated setting. Good Wi-Fi connection. Very useful laundry service.

Great: clean and comfortable

Went with my wife and two kids to this nice hostel in July. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, and have decent equipment for the price and considering it's the desert.
The place is very calm and has a huge backyard for the kids to play, with hammocks to take a good nap. The place also has WIFI and a common kitchen so you can bring your stuff and cook if you want to save some bucks. There is plenty space for parking too.

Town main streen, where are all tours and restaurants, it's about 10 minutes walking along a straight road, so it's easy to orientate and find your way back.

The staff is beyond awesome, they are really kind and helpful. They will provide a lot of tips to get around the town and tours, and provide you with whathever you need if it's on their reach. I even forgot a coat in the room when we left, and they promptly called me and a week after i was receiving it at my home via courier.

If we go back, would definitely stay there again.

Excellent place, comfortable and near downtown.

It’s quite an eccentric little place to stay and we had a comfortable bedroom with bathroom. We were a bit upset as we did not have hot water for 2 days, all because the gas ran out and management did not realize what was going on. And the promised WiFi was only at reception but at least we had it! Location good.

Stayed for 3 days

Large, comfortable and clean room. Freezer, bakery, tea and coffee available. Veronica is very kind and willing to help you and call to solve transfer problems and so on. Thanks to our hostess. Possibility to wash her laundry for a ridiculous price. Given in the morning and picked up in the evening. 10 minutes walk from the center and restaurants. Negative: Nothing. The lightless passage between the lighted street and the hotel but it's short.

I recommend it.

The hotel is simple but very comfortable, the care is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful whenever you need it, we were provided with the modem to use wifi at no cost, the views of the Licancabur are amazing.

Safe and comfortable.

It's a modest and comfortable hostel, especially for the price it costs, with service from my bed and the bathrooms are always clean. There is a kitchen available that is always appreciated, and also a breakfast service. If I had to go back to San Pedro I would stay here again.
