All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out. To obtain a tax exemption, foreign citizens must, upon entry, pay for their stay in foreign currency (not in Chilean pesos) and present a valid passport along with the migration card they received upon entering the country. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room. Please inform Cabaña Media Luna in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. A damage deposit of USD 100 is required on arrival. This will be collected as a cash payment. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full in cash, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note towels will be changed on the third day of your stay. Breakfast and a daily maid service are not provided in this property. LOCAL TAX LAW. Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19% To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA).
