We traveled from out of province expectioning to stay at a place with a kitchenette for about 10 days. . The Capri Motel  is the absolute worse hotel we've ever been too. It's filthy with q-tips and garbage under the beds, melted m&m candy under the mattress and blood on the pillows and mattress. The bathroom appeared to have never been cleaned, ever.  When complained to management, all they said "sorry, this is now a five star place". Management didn't even apologize or offer to clean the place.  Even during Covid times,  I'd expect to be able to stay in a place that's been cleaned and not be worried I'd be leaving with some kind of disease.  I wouldn't even boil water for tea in their kitchenette. Needless to say we demanded our money back in full. They didn't want to give almost $1000 refund. Only after we got really irate, they reluctantly refunded our money. We left to find another motel/hotel to stay.  It was really hard to find anywhere else because they were all booked with hydro workers and construction workers. Was able to finally find 1 place, with no kitchenette or even a microwave. Mind you, there was a breakfast room.   This Capri Motel has no stars. It's a SLUM. Don't believe their photos on their website. This is going to be a memorable trip from B.C.  And certainly not a good memory. STAY AWAY FROM THE CAPRI MOTEL

Filthy suite ......Capri Motel

Hey Everyone, I stayed here for one night on Expedia and somehow they lost my reservation and wanted to recharge me for my room. Then he takes my credit card and moves behind a barrier to take all my information. Then he asked for my licence which he wrote down and photocopied which he said he needed incase they needed to charge me $500 for smoke or water damage. Needless to say I cancelled my credit card after that. Just a horrible environment all around. I expected a low end motel which I was prepared for, but not this illegal nonsense.

I don't think I've ever left a bad review in my life but I felt it was necessary. I booked this motel for 2 nights on our trip to Winnipeg. We got there around 7 pm and left at 6 am the next morning. The room was the dirtiest I've ever been in, the carpet was sticky and even though it said it was a non-smoking room, all you could smell was smoke and just gross smells in general. 

When I checked in I was told the wifi didn't work too. Also the shower was so small and looked so dirty, I live in a travel trailer and my shower is literally bigger than it. I also had to pay a $200 damage deposit for my 2 dogs I brought with me, despite the already terrible condition of the room. 

So anyways nighttime came around and ALL I could hear was moaning and creepy singing up until 4 am. I feel like the girl had to either be drugged or doing it with multiple men because there was always a quiet 30 or so minute interval before the banging and moaning started again. Also cars were pulling up with people getting out at 1 am, 2 am and later. I honestly didn't feel safe and couldn't sleep. the ONLY reason I stayed here was because I called 15 other places in Winnipeg and they were either all booked, didn't accept dogs or over $300 for 2 nights. Oh also the bed was the loudest and creakiest bed I've ever slept in. 

I just remembered one more thing - when I checked in and handed the lady my ID, she didn't hand it back to me like every single other motel and hotel does. I'm not sure if it was on purpose or a mistake, but she called me around 20 mins later saying I forgot my ID there. Okay that's it! I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I travel for work and stay in so many motels between BC and Winnipeg and this one was by far the worst.

Worst motel I've ever stayed in

We spent one night for business and are glad that we only spent one. Mainly in it for the location and the rate, but cannot expect anything more than that. We checked in later in the evening, had couple drinks across the street, got back and slept, then we left early morning. I read everyone's bad reviews but when you pay less, you have to expect less. You cannot be looking for a five star hotel for a two star price.

Make it a quick visit

Spent a couple of nights at the Capri Motel while on a Motorcycle Trip...can’t remember how much it cost me to book this online but it was pretty cheap. Would have been a nice place 50 years ago...room was semi-cleanish, tv worked, Bed was comfy enough. No Ice Machine. 

You get what you pay for!

It's like they dropped dropped the North end in the middle of the Pembina strip. I stayed here a week. What a mistake.

The police were in the motel 5 out of the 7 days. Doors kicked in, windows smashed, fighting in the motel, yelling, screaming, somebody asked me to buy crack cocaine and other people accosting you trying to sell or buy drugs etc. Somebody threatened me if i didn't give them a cigarette. And this is all within 15 meters of the door to my room.

It felt really dirty. The locks on the doors barely work. There were stains and remnants of what people wiped on the walls, especially in the bathroom....yuck. Fruit flies and bugs. The walls are very thin. You can't open your window for fresh air. You get the point.

On the room agreement it says they are not responsible if you get killed in their motel. That should say enough.

Horrible

Stayed here for 3 days on a trip to Winnipeg. The room was small, but had a working fridge & microwave. Bed was clean but a little lumpy. Bathroom was tiny and due for a much needed upgrade. Shower head leaked more water then from the head. Rooms have electrical heating, which helped keep the room warn in the cold winter. Cheap place for the price, if your not too picky would recommend this place. They have wi-fi, but it is lacking so don't hold your breath waiting for it to connect.
