If you stay here don’t leave anything in your room if you go out.otherwise you might come back and it might be gone.My liquor disappeared when I went out.When I went to the desk the assistant manager instantly started demanding if I had proof. Which tells me they have experience with this happening

Stuff missing from room

Booked this at the last minute through Booking.com. Upon pulling up to tje place I was wondering if I made a mistake. It is beside a sketchy bar looking and liquor store with heavy metal caging over the windows. I grew up may year's ago near here and always knew it to be a nice neighborhood so thought...what the heck. Got a room for 2 nights facing the bar. I must say it was a very pleasant stay. Very helpful and friendly staff, most amenities very close, very quiet room, and no regrets being near the bar or vendor. Walked over for a beer and found very decent people and no trouble at all. Some monthly renters, all decent. I will stay again.

Decent lodging

It was a strange experience with a deposit. It seemed to work out alright. Good security. Price may be a little high. They have a big back lot out back that can accommodate a trailer. If your pulling a trailer by yourself and looking for an economic place to stay you might want to consider it. Everything was mostly clean. No shampoo in the room. 

Strange

The whole room was clean, the bed and the bathroom. We were passing through and this was a good place to stay. The price matches the experience. The Wifi worked great in the hallway and was a little slow in the room. The location is good, right near the highway and restaurants/fast food are close by. They ask for a security deposit, but I got it back the next morning at check out. This was not an inconvinence to me.

Good enough

Yes, the building appears run down and the halls are dimly lit.  Damage and TV remote deposit are required.    A young strange couple with clothes drying nearby sat near the door.  And there is a relationship to some type of club next door.  

Having come out of the bush in Northern Manitoba on a canoe trip, all we wanted was a cheap clean room.  We found our room to be clean and maintained.  No strange odors or stains.  The water was hot and the towels cheap.  The room had a phone but lacked a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer.  The free wifi was slow and hard to get a signal.  We heard no street noises or disturbances outside.  The halls were quiet throughout the night.  Bottom line, it met our needs and exceeded our expectations.  It is not a place my wife and kids would want to stay at.  If you are looking for cheap, clean and no thrills this is the place.  



Don't let the scary looks fool you.

I have never been asked by any motel or hotel to leave a security deposit of $150.00 in case I decide to destroy the room. I was told that it was standard practice because it happened with some frequently. I found this strange but it was late and I had been traveling over twelve hours. The room looked ok but it did have a smell I could not accurately identify. People talking in the hall most of the night prevented a good night's sleep.  In the morning I returned the television remote and the clerk inspected my room for damage before returning my deposit. There is a sign at the check-in that explains that taking a newspaper from the pile on the counter is theft. I did not want a newspaper but in all the other places I have stayed in my life newspapers are handed out with no charge. Ironically, the paper was the Winnipeg Free Press and they charge for it. Drive past this place.
