The hotel has no on site staff. So if you have any inquiries or requests, forget about it. We called the phone number and left three messages and they didn't bother to call back. The bathroom floor is slanted and I slipped getting out of the shower. No AC and our room was in the mid 80's. Worst hotel stay in my life

Avoid at all costs

My wife and I booked this property however it failed to meet our expectations:

- common areas oppressively hot
- no ice machine
- no A/C in the room(currently at 26 C)
- no cream provided for in room coffee maker
- no small refrigerator be to keep drinks cold unless you order in advance and there's a surcharge.

The other Auberge's my wife and I visited had some charm, but this property has very little or no charm, just a basic bare bones room.

I don't like writing poor reviews, but in this case, I feel I need to.

Don't get the Rave Reviews

Large room, very ordinary old furniture (scratched tables), proper mattresses, efficient curtains, Bad communication: voice box full on arrival day. Tiny bathroom (shower only), poor quality toilet paper. No WI-FI on the first day. Low-standard continental lunch: no yogurt, industrial grocers, little or no fruit. Only home-made item: delicious salty caramel.

Poor price-quality ratio

We can't give our opinion about our host because we never met him during our stay... the street is quiet at night and the room is clean but a little old.

Oh, my God.

Friendly home. Three large, slightly obsolete rooms very high: the stairs are steep; the bed is straight and the bathroom a little. Breakfast is average in a small room.

To improve

Nice charming hotel, pretty comfortable room, a little light breakfast, but there's a nice coffee right next door, only the hotel is not air conditioned, and we were very hot in July.

Clean, comfortable room. Warm and caring home, Celine is very kind and entertaining. Breakfast is right: bread variety, croissant, fruit. Good location to visit Rimouski on foot. Free parking.

Good location for activities

The location is great, very central with plenty of parking at the back. There is a nice Cafe for lunch or dinner just next door. The Auberge has three floors and no elevator so if you have heavy luggage, ask for a lower floor. 
The rooms are plain with individual bathrooms. No luxury here. Free Wifi and TV in each room. 
Some of the rooms are much larger and have beautiful wide windows.... ask for one of those. Ours had half a window so thank God for the ceiling fan. The Auberge is on a pretty busy street so if your room faces the front, it is noisy. 
The staff is helpful and friendly. 
They offer a free continental breakfast in a small area on the first floor. The food is ok and serves the purpose... again nothing fancy. 
I think it’s a good place if you are passing through, not recommended if you have kids. 
A continental breakfast is offered....it’s not much but it works. 



Beautiful Auberge

We stayed one night at this quiet inn in the center of Rimouski, where we were welcomed and treated well by our guests, and nearby we had access to the promenade along the St. Lawrence River, as well as many restaurants and cafes.

Well located

We stayed at this B&B on a trip between Montreal and the Gaspe Peninsula.  It was easy to find using the car's navigation system.  Parking was in the back of the B&B.  We arrived shortly after 6 PM, and their was a envelope waiting for us containing the room number we were staying in an a key for the room door.  The room itself was comfortable, but very basic, which was OK as this is what we had expected.  Everything worked well.  There was lots of hot water for morning showers, and adequate towels.  Breakfast was served in a room on the first floor and consisted of cereals, bread products, fruit, juice, and hot drinks - coffee, tea and hot chocolate,

We got a good nights sleep and a adequate breakfast which was what we were looking for.

If you are planning more than a nights stay, the location is close to the downtown. On the way out of town we visited the Point au Pere Maritime Historic Site which was about a 15 minute drive from the B&B.
