I've always had good experiences in hostels. This hostel is a disgrace to other hostels. It's unsanitary, ruined, disgusting. We found hair and hair on our sheets. The toilets were disgusting and unsanitary. Get out of here.

Unsalvaged, run away from this place like the plague!!!

I arrived, it was - 8°C and there was no one there. My arrival was planned. I called several times and I was just told to wait. After 40 minutes outside someone came, opened the door, left me in the dark entrance and left to return only 20 minutes later. The room was tiny (it was impossible to put my suitcase on the floor so even less to open it). The bed was dirty with hair and hair inside, I had only one desire: to run away! The bathroom was very dirty with a lot of tasks. The person who hosted me was also inexperienced, she had to call the boss for every question (it was my room number, I had to pay for the receipt). They didn't tell me that it was impossible to open my code, but they didn't ask me to open the room, and I was very sure that they wouldn't be able to open it.

Of all the hostels I've made, this one is the worst... The premises are by no means inviting travelers to meet or chat in the common areas given the promiscuity and little comfort of the place. The kitchen is tiny, for two people max. A bathroom has been bricoled into what looks like a closet that looks out on the hallway with a kind of curtain door. The bedroom is actually a tiny, ventilated private room where the owners have miraculously managed to get in several soft beds crammed on top of each other. There are also everywhere signs threatening the heat of fines if the premises are not left, the surveillance is forgotten inside the cameras, and the owner of the hotel is not content to use his own clothes, but it's easy to use his own shoes, etc. But if you're not interested in the internet, you can also make a note of the person's personal notes, etc. But if you're not interested, you're not interested in taking care of the rest of the room.

Well, as a last resort...

Arriving late, without booking, I had a bed easily. The reception was brief but nice and concise. Cash payment so no worries. Nice host who doesn't hesitate to discuss the surroundings and share ideas of randos. Besides, I was making a stop and he gave me a hell of a hand by dropping me off near Quebec, sharing rich discussions about our perceptions of the world and society! Thank you!;)

Good, but not happy to have caught bed bugs...

Apart from the clean room and the comfortable bed, our experience is rather negative. The host is silly and childish (although we're approaching our 50s). Several posters remind us of camera surveillance and the risk of consequences if the rules are broken. You have to pay in cash and no bills are issued. The host doesn't visit the premises. The kitchen is tiny and the smells are nauseating. The dishwasher's soap is diluted with water. The dishwasher's soap smells of mold. One common place is dark and depressing. Try to find something else.

The owner is really friendly and helpful. He gave us tons of go-to places and overall advice that shaped our trip in a really good fashion. The beds are confortable and clean. The only negative point is the kitchen closing at 22h30. Rest is excellent. Great place to stop by on the road to Gaspésie.
