Owner is a d$ck and not very nice. sleep on the floor it's more comfortable than the beds. Not worth the price plus location isn't great. Smells like sh$t at times from the richibucto creek. I wouldn't recommend it at all. I'd rather sleep in a tent to be honest. Stay in Quebec guys it's not worth your money

Not good

Cottage: we stayed in a duplex unit, and our friends shared the other side of the duplex with us. Our unit was very basic, but had all the minimums. After seeing our friends cottage next door, we felt a little let down since their cottage had much newer amenities. Our cottage was last decorated in the 1980s, the living room furniture was well used, but we mostly stayed outside, so we didn't use the living room. The shower made a high pitched whining noise each time you turned it on, but the water came out hot and with great pressure, just dont have a shower early in the am or late at night, else you will wake the neighbours. The beds were ok, and there was 1x fan for one of the bedrooms. 

Extras that made our vacation great: 
The shuttle to the Sand dunes, the captain was very friendly and made the 30 min boat ride fun and interesting. The dunes are incredible, very similar to the dunes at Kouchibouguac National park, but with no people. You are very isolated over on the sand dunes, there is nothing out there (e.g. bathrooms etc...) It is gorgeous and worth an afternoon outing. Bring shade and snacks. Our children happily collected hermit crabs and crabs for hours of fun jumping in the waves.

Kayaks - the resort provides non motorized boats (kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats) for all cottagers to enjoy. There are lots of life jackets to borrow and several single kayaks and tandem kayaks. Lots of fun for tweens and teenagers + parents.

Swimming pool and Hot tub - the resort provides towels for use at the pool / hot tub

Fire wood - each cottage gets 1 bundle of wood per day included!!! and each extra bundle is only 5$ much cheaper than a campground.

WIFI - There is free wifi, but caution it is not great, especially not for streaming. Also the wifi is configured to renew it's lease every hour, so if you stop using it you will need to re log on/sign in - can be annoying. But we weren't on vacation to sit on our phones/devices.

Recommendations: 
Pair of scissors in the kitchen (or bring some with you)
Kitchen chef's knife (there were no prep knives in our unit)
Replacement of living room furniture

Simple cottages, great location, lots of extras

We stayed for 7 nights at the Chalets Du Havre.  There are some magical things about this place - the grounds, the pool, the playground, and of course Gerry the boat captain and the incredible beach he took us to on the North Richibucto Dune.  

The accommodations are clean and basic, fine for what we needed although they could consider investing in AC or putting a fan in each room. 

Our main frustration was with the rude and stubborn owner. He did not honour the booking arrangement we had made months before our trip, charged us full price and made no attempt to solve the logistical issues he caused. 

My family of four and had booked a chalet attached to our friends to make it easy to socialize once the kids went to bed, as they also have a child. Instead, when our friends arrived, they were housed 5 cabins down the road, not beside us as we had booked and as had been confirmed when we checked in. At the last minute, they moved our friends down the road, which made it tricky to socialize at night as neither couple felt comfortable leaving our young kids alone in the cabin. Our friends flew from Toronto to spend five days with us, and this put a bit of an unexpected damper on our plans.

The owner admitted we booked side by side but said he failed to tell us until we arrived that they reserve the right to move people around whenever they choose, to wherever they choose. There was no compensation provided, no apology, no budging on the cabin assignments, and he certainly didn't offer to babysit ;)  

While we were there I did hear the place is for sale, hopefully the new owners will have a greater focus on customer experience and customer service.

Beautiful location, ok accommodations, rude owner, no customer service.

The bungalows are located on an artificial peninsula facing the sea. Each bungalow has two parts. Its own small living kitchen, balcony with its own grill and seating area, even has its own fireplace.

Beautiful holiday resort with bungalows

Well maintained two bedroom cottages. Very helpful and friendly staff. Our family stayed there for three nights. Quiet place but not far from the town with its supermarket and restaurants. Amazing river views. We were pleasantly surprised that kayaks are included into the price (i've actually missed that tidbit on their website) and readily available. Also included is a 20-minute boat ride to a large sand dune island: very nice walking there on a very long & empty beach. The place also provides firewood for a camp fire: they've got fire pit for each cottage. Kitchen is well equipped with utensils and very usable. There is a laundry on site, in the admin building. All in all, very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Nice location, but the chalets are very outdated, beds are hard as a rock.With the location they have it must of been good back in the days. I will not return for that price, not worth that money.

Outdated/expensive for what you get.

On our tour of Canada, we stopped here for 2 nights to visit the nearby Kichibouguac National Park. The house was fully equipped with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. There is a supermarket nearby so you can shop for breakfast and dinner. Due to the quiet location, chalets are recommended from No. 212. There is a fireplace with free firewood behind the chalet, washing machines and dryers are available for 2 CAD each at the reception.

I highly recommend it.

It was gray, it was raining, and there was not much to do. We arrived around 3:00, and oh surprise the reception was closed but... our envelope with the key to the cottage was waiting for us in a box. What confidence. Imagine a real house a few feet from the water. Nothing is missing, a barbecue on the terrace surrounded by mosquito nets, a corner to make fire on the grass, dishwasher, microwave oven and full of dishes. Everything is nickel. The only sound is that of the gulls and the goose that come to visit us early in the morning. The dream.

It's perfect.

Very comfortable cottage duplex with good views all around. Somewhat dated throughout. If you travel with your VHS collection this is your place. Other comments from reviewers about the management style of the place are worth attending to. The 'rule book' in each the rooms was clearly not designed by someone with a background in marketing. It has a scolding tone throughout and has some outright bizarre statements. For example, I have never seen a maritime cottage try to ban cooking lobster in the cottages. That is like banning pineapple consumption in Hawaii. Or how about telling parents that other guest did not come their to look after their children. Who thinks writing to guest like this is a good idea?  More suited for seniors and families than couples travel. If you have a pet you are entirely unwelcome.

Wonderful view, quite stay, very odd vibe.

My girlfriend and I visited Les Chalets du Havre during the week. We were initially going to stay two nights, but the rude management and heat from the non air-conditioned, muggy rooms completely turned us off. We are two young girls in our twenties, and I think we were treated as delinquents because of this. We immediately went to sit and relax by the pool after our late arrival. After about an hour of relaxing, minding our own business, an angry man approached us. I thought he was another guest so I smiled and said hello, but I did not get either of those in return. Instead, he proceeded to ask whos glass was beside our chair. I said it was mine. I had not read the pool rules he told me, which was true and fair, and had not seen the rule of no glass near the pool. I apologized and said I'd take it back. That wasn't good enough for him. He asked what was in it, to which I replied water. He then proceeded to SMELL the glass to verify this wasn't a lie. I felt like I was back in school getting in trouble with the principle. He dumped the contents and kept lecturing us, asking what chalet we were in, where we were from, our names. Over a glass of water? We started to leave the pool area, still apologizing. At this point he was yelling, I couldn't help but cry, and it didn't stop him. As we were trying to leave as quickly as possible from this angry man yelling at us for having a glass at our chairs, in the heat of the moment we left the glass with him. He again yelled after us that we needed to bring it back to the cottage that if we didn't we would be charged. It was so unnecessary and plain old mean. Simply telling us/explaining to us would have been enough. We went back to our chalet and packed everything up and headed to the reception desk to leave, where we asked if there was a manager we could speak to. OF COURSE, this man lives in/runs this establishment. He was not happy to talk to us telling us it was too bad and we could leave if we wanted but we wouldn't get our money back and it was our own fault. It was just so uncomfortable and a horrible night thanks to the owner. WILL never return. An angry man who judged us, when all we wanted was like everyone else to relax on our vacation. 
About the actual chalets:
Very cute and on the beach (not swimmable but still pretty view.) (Which made it our experience with the manager even more disappointing, we really wanted to love it.)
Could highly benefit from air conditioners
