Motel Olympic

You are either visiting all the many things in Quebec or on your bike doing the great bike trail that runs right past the hotel...so what do you need.
While an older motel, they have invested in upkeep and offer a clean room, easy parking, a maintained pool area, fridge and TV and working free WIFI.
Friendly easy check in, and new a/c units in room which are perfect for a great nights sleep.
Easy highway access to Quebec City 10 min. , the Island or the Falls.

Receptionist allowed us to check in as soon as we arrived (12:30pm).  She was very kind and told us locations of restaurants.  This location seems recently renovated.  Bed was very comfortable;  we slept well.  Even tho Quebec City is a relatively large metro area, this part of town is very quiet at night. We had NO TROUBLE using credit card for transactions.

Amenities: Microwave, mini frig, LG HDTV, coffee maker, Samsung Smart Inverter cooling air conditioner, alarm clock.  Has a functioning pool but the gate was locked during our stay.  WiFi was solid and consistent. Doors has OLD SCHOOL room keys.

Canada was experiencing an anomalous heat wave when we traveled and the weather was fantastic.

I stayed at Motel Olympic for two days in August, 2018.  Nice you can park right outside your room which was spacious and very clean.  Although old, this family operated motel is kept up very well.  The air conditioner was wall mounted and very efficient and quiet.  TV worked very well and the bed comfortable.  The room came with a microwave and refrigerator and a table with two chairs.  My only complaint is the very thin cheap toilet paper.  The pool was enjoyed by many staying there and looked very clean.  It was a very quick and easy drive into central Quebec City on the adjoining highway.  Parking within Quebec is a real issue to find a parking spot.  The price for the room was very reasonable but it is hard to get use to the high 15% tax on almost everything in Quebec.

This was a very good deal considering it was high season. Dog friendly, clean and a short 5 minute Uber ride to downtown. Owner was nice, not sure if he speaks English. Lots of other motels in the area and close to the Chutes Montmorency.

Everything you need...

Very Positive Experience

Good location and dog friendly with free parking in front of the room.

Stayed one night before heading back to home. Wasn't expecting much from this motel and place didn't disappoint me. Make a long story short..... It was okay for a night. Bed was bit uncomfortable but I was just happy to go to sleep. Next time, I will try some other places.
