The children and I had an excellent time. Close to town center, but just far enough to feel peaceful. The back of the motel has BBQ’s and seating with a beautiful view of the lake. 2 minute walk on a path to the beach and park. Our room had space to eat and a fridge, although we ate outside most of the time because it was so beautiful. The owners were friendly and always there to answer our questions.

Friendly staff and the one bar of soap provided was a very nice bar of soap.  However, the step to enter the room was unusually high and seemed to be missing a step.  This was dangerous and difficult for someone with mobility issues.   The outdated room was clean but not immaculate.   There was no coffee machine, and the fridge and microwave were not plugged in. It was very expensive for inferior accommodation.  If I pass through charming Eganville again,  I will not be staying at the Pine Tree motel.

Cross country move during pandemic

What a hidden gem, The beds reminded me of my grandmothers- super comfy with tons of blankets. Everyone there was super nice and if we are ever back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. After our week long road trip, when we asked our kids which hotel they liked best, this was one of the favorites. 

Pleasant Surprise

Having stayed in many small independently owned motels across Canada I would say this place is comparable in size, decor.  Our room smelled musty upon arrival but overall the room was clean.  My issue is with the arbitrary price of the room.  Initially it was listed on Expedia as $50 per night but when booking directly with the motel I was quoted $90.  It is prime season so could perhaps understand the mark up, however our travelling companions were quoted $140 per night because " they were in a newer, larger room that had two beds".  Water pressure in the sink of the 'newer' room was no more than a dribble.  Many stains on the bathroom walls.  Unfortunately, accommodations right in Eganville are limited so if a stay there is necessary, expect whatever price they figure at the time.  I have stayed in chain hotels that were far more spacious, in better repair and included two beds for less $.  Better value can be found if you are able to travel 30 kms further to Pembroke.

Okay if you just need a clean bed for a night

We arrived late on Thanksgiving weekend and got a room, which is not normally offered, for the reduced price of 90CAD including tax. That was very friendly, but the room was not shown to us. In fact, almost nothing worked except hot water and microwave, 1 lamp and W-lan. The smell was even worse than in all the motels and the overall condition was miserable. I assume the other rooms don't look much better. But the service was very friendly.

I'm going down.

This place should be condemned. While working on the road I have stayed in a couple places that you wonder what has happened in these rooms but this one tops the list. The floors are so soft (rotten) that you had to watch where you stepped while coming through the door. The door had a crack in the top that bugs could get through and buzz around while trying to sleep. I actually slept with my clothes on in my sleeping bag, as I wouldn't use their sheets. The neighbor had to complain about no hot water. The drain for the bathroom sink had a crack in it and leaked on the floor. At $99.99 a night we asked for our money back and told the owner this place is disgusting and shouldn't allow people in these rooms. We ended up getting a full refund.  Never again.

Nothing But Dirt

This motel really needs to be torn down. We could see daylight all around the door. Killed several spiders and picked up some dead June bugs. Paint peeling everywhere. The sink drain was broken. No plug. The caulking around the tub looked like it was done by a blind person. Spiders living in the tub so we chose not to use it. Another spider web under the table between the beds.
And to top it all off, someone stole all four of our tire stems. Stay away.

Filthy Dirty

Small Motel next to the raod.
Need a absoluted refreshment outside. It is not invited.
But the price is ok for the place and the room are clean but they still have shagy carpet from the 60's ( orange color ).

But the bed are clean and comfortable. Batheroom need some maintenance.

It is well situated and there is restaurants and beer store walking distance.

I am not saying don't go there because I will go there again if I am in the area. But you have to know how it is exactly.
