Kokob Hostel

The Kokob hostel is located on the 6th floor of a big, sowjet style appartment building. But no worries: there is an elevator. The hostel offers a double room and two 3 and 4 bed room dorms. In addition you have a dining room and a kitchen free to use. It offers a real familiy atmosphere and you will most likey meet other people.

The city and old town of Plovdiv are only a few minutes foot walk away. Shops, Restaurants and Bars can be found just outside of the the hostel.

The hole hostel is furnitured with old furniture. Not sure if there are all Art Deco, but it create a cosy atmosphere

Tiny hostel in good location. Great Value

For me it's not a real hostel because there is no reception where you see someone responsible 24 hours a day and can trust him and rely on his help.  It is just an apartment on a 6th floor of a big house...  It was closed when we finally found it (with the help of the local people because there was no signboard)... I did not like this and was just curious to speak with the owner.  The local people were gentle to call for us (because I don't have a mobile phone) and answered:  "They told to wait. Somebody will come...". My 13-years old daughter was having a fever so this answer was enough for my decision to go away.  Several minutes later an owner's helper crossed us when we were already on the street. I explained him that we need to feel safe and do not want to spend the night in an empty apartment where 2 unknown men also have the key... And we left and spent 3 nights in a nice hotel "Real" on the same street while my daughter was ill.
For people who don't have reasons to be afraid to stay in a stranger's apartment there would not be this kind of problem.
