I just came back from Plovdiv, where we spent the weekend at Hotel Allur. I can't say anything bad about the place! It is situated in the very heart of the ancient city and despite one of the big boulevards is at the doorway, we didn`t have any problems with the traffic noise- it's really sound-proof! The service is on a high level and the staff are really friendly! Thank you, guys! We were there with our three kids and we were all comfortable and had no problems on the noise kids were making... 
I do reccomend it for a cosy and remembering trip to this fantastic town!

A nice and cosy place

I stayed in a small single room with a full size bed.  The location is near the Ramada and the pedestrian shopping and dining street.  The rate was good at around $16.  There is a free internet terminal.  Breakfast was not provided but there are coffee shops and bakeries near to the hotel.  Staff working the desk were good.

One night stay

Not very cozy - nice rooms, poor bathrooms, the whole place is a bit dark and not spacious. Location - very close to the central Post Office. Ok for a solo business travel, not appropriate for families and children.

Very good location! Tiny bathrooms and rooms, good for 1-2 nights

There was nothing wrong with this hotel.  It was close to all the sites, we were able to walk almost the entire city from this location.  The room was cleaned every day.  The only thing was that the rooms were dark, you couldn't open the shades because it looked right into another room and also the staff were aloof, unhelpful and didn't really seem to care if you were coming or going.  I find the staff make a place feel warm and hospitable and here they failed at that.  The price was right, the location good and the room clean...but we never warmed up to the place.  I would probably look for another hotel if I were to stay in Plovdiv again.

Clean but average hotel

We stayed two nights in a twin room. There was a problem with the space for getting out the beds, beds and linen were old but clean. Bathroom had a problem with ventilation system as odors from other room came to us, smelled cigarettes too much for a non smoking room. Staff were nice. Not worth for the price or just one night. Location relatively good
