The whole place was a dump. Really dirty. The room cramped with not enough lockers for everyone. The sheets were dirty and awefull. For breakfast i had to do my own coffee because they served old coffe and the thermic jar was almost empty. All volunteers working there said they were not working there any longer and would talk really bad about the owner and complain about him beeing cheep and making them work longer hours in front of guests. There was overbooking everyday (i was there when people with bookinga came in and the staff would just say "sory, we are overbooked". This happenned at least 4 times in 2 days). I deffinetely recommend to stay away from this nasty place.

Worst hostel ever

For some reason this hostel had a mosquito problem when I stayed there. 

Overall this hostel is pretty average for the price range it’s in, if not slightly overpriced as there are others in the area for 20% less with the same quality. 

The internet wasn’t particularly good but not bad either. 

The staff was nice and talkative, better than most hostels. 

Unfortunately the hostal doesn’t have much atmosphere either. 

It’s a decent hostel... 

Mosquitoes. 

I booked this hostel online and then when we arrived we were told there was a mistake and there was no space. They gave us their email address and said we would get our refund for the deposit. We did not receive any refund after sending a number of emails. Completely untrustworthy. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

For the price, you can't ask for more, but the truth is that there aren't many amenities.The room was very small and there were no lockers for everyone in the room.Outside of this the lady who attended was very loving and warm.

The quality with the price no van de la mano, we die of heat in the living room, the breakfast is just a loaf of bread that can't be toasted with butter, the ugly dishes with uncomfortable and unsafe beds, the bathroom is flooded, worse hostel than in Brazil.

 Pesimo hosal

I loved this hostel. Good care and tranquility. The rooms are not the best, the lack of ventilation. Good location; there is a metro station nearby, a supermarket in front and the area is very beautiful. Good price and quality ratio.

Very quiet.

I really like the location in the middle of Vila Magdalena, buses at the door and bars of all kinds around the corner, very good price, and in front there is a mini super from which you can buy anything you want to eat or cook!

 Good location

Nice and cosy hostel located in Vila Madalena, 10 minutes from the Metro station, in a safe artistic neighborhood of Sao Paulo. The hostel has a familiar atmosphere, it´s easy to meet other people and enjoy a nght out. I really enjoyed my time spent here. During the winter nights could be cold. I recommend this hostel especially for backpackers and easy-going people!

Nice hostel

I worked at Girassol Hostel for three weeks. It`s a lovely small backpackers friendly hostel. Be sure to be received here as a friend! Staff and guest mix up well. I met amazing people here (guests and staff) who became close friends. I would definitely recommand for any travelers who want to share or exchange experiences with fellow travelers. 

The area of Vila Madalena is very artistic, grafitis everywhere! There are plenty of cool bars full all week long. Plus the hostel is 10 minutes from the metro station.

Cosy, friendly, chilled out

We booked this hostel for its good price and because we were halfway between the airport (Guarulhos) and the Morumbí stadium.The indications given in the emails we exchanged the previous days were very good and helped us to get to the hostel collectively and subtly as indicated.The rooms are small, simply the seafarer-type beds and a hard bar a little space to leave the bags.It is worth clarifying that perhaps what is offered is a little more than it costs.It is very economical and to spend 2-3 nights is more than recommended due to the location, free wi-fi and the warmth of those in charge.
